How Online Multiplayer Could Change Sonic Forever!

In this video I discuss the past and future of co-op and online In Sonic games and how I think Sega could capitalize on recent success in the series to make a BIG online multiplayer game I also talk about how it was a huge missed opportunity to not add co-op/multiplayer in Sonic Frontiers and how poorly it was done in the likes of sonic superstars. I would personally love a big online sonic game in the future and think it would do extremely well but what do you think leave a comment below!

Sega been at those mobile games too much. Gotta cut back more on the iPhone games. And focus on the main course the console experience and give us online and split screen multiplayer.

The only good online sonic game is sonic team racing but every one just stopped playing. Something I wanted is a sonic fighting game

Yeah I've been thinking abou this alot myself if I would've been in charge for this in a new sonic game then 1st of all I would have made the levels open with multiple diffrent paths with some path's being easier but a bit slower like the 2d games but in 3d and because thease levels would be so open it could exapand the 1v1 mode in sa2 and expand it to maybe 7 8 or even 10 players at max yes it could be very chaotic but it's just a concept and there could be modes/options in the online mode where you could for example play a race without players being able to attack eachother there are so many ways and so many options for this to work and theare could also be a mode where players can create their own events like in smash bros where they can change the settings how ever they want with obiously some limitations but yeah I want the players to feel like they have freedom to create teir own matches and make their own races or grand prix If both new levels and old remade levels imagine being able to pick or wote for Speed highway along with a new level for example you could also play on the old versions of some old levels but since some of them wont work with 5-8 players for example then they would have a limited number of players depending on the stage one thing that I think would have a huge potential in a online mode is charcters even charcters that arent in the story can be played here like Imagine charcters like Sticks Fang Bark Bean E-123 Omega E-102 gamma and other E series robots and other sonic charcters aswell it would also be cool to play other game modes online like treasure hunting or Fighting but that could taje to much development time and could also seperate the player base and making it hard to find online matches but it would still be cool to add side online mods like that in aswell as Chao garden online Ones you compete agianst other players and get high ranks podiums and so on could give you more rewards for the Chao garden and stuff dor your chao it could for example be more rings for the black market or other similar stuff this ks just a quick concept sorry for not really going into detail but I was just spam writing so yeah

This is also just a quick concept that isn't really thought out so it could have some flaws aswell but I just wanted to share thease ideas for fun and I do also see the flaw in this idea where it might stop players from buying a new sonic game and thst players are going to get higher expectations for future sonic games aswell

No it does not need multi-player keep it the way it is yes past sonic games where not that good but multi-player won't fix that
