    My shampoo bottle basically is capped with a similar pump. I should definitely keep one. I had no clue it could be such a useful tool, lol!

    A word of Caution, guys. Be careful taking the upper power steering hose off the reservoir. They get very stiff with time and can be very, very difficult to get off. I have broken the nipple before and then you have to get a new res. Nice video otherwise. As others said: clear and right to the point.

    Thanks for the video. My power steering pump whines (almost sounds like a supercharger) and the sound correlates to RPMs. Any chance this could be replaced with fluid flush? Previous owner just replaced the steering rack at 85k miles.

      @mattgiorgi7507  Před rokem +2

      Hey you can defiantly try the flush I would do it regardless! The whining I had was resolved by new bearing and belt pulleys is it possibly it could be one of those?

    • @PAKraig

      @@mattgiorgi7507 pulleys have been replaced and mechanic's stethoscope definitely identified the power steering pump as the noise maker.

    Any thoughts on a the line having a leak? Is this something you'd recommend doing DIY or would you take it?

    • @mattgiorgi7507
      @mattgiorgi7507  Před 6 měsíci +1

      If it has a leak in the line you definitely should change it! Depends how confident you are in your mechanical abilities!

    Great video and good instructions but Good luck getting that return line off to anyone trying this method. 90% of the time it will not come off

      That’s weird I’ve never had a problem with any of them coming off before. You did remove the hose clamp first?
