Trust me he probably had a conversation with his mother; thats all the challenge he needs. He doesn't owe the public anything BUT he apologized and I felt he was sincere. He is doing the work of self reflection, and self examination. He is doing the work and I can appreciate that. Those of us who has been hurt or traumatized by someone never ever get the apology that Will Smith put out there. Now its in Chris Rock's hands. Healing takes time. Chris Rock needs to take the time that he needs to get to his healing and when he does that; he and Will Smith will have that conversation. Hurt is hurt there is no time frame on that.

I believe Will is genuinely sorry. The real talk should be between Chris and Will. They both need time to heal. He has apologized to everyone pretty much. We have all made mistakes and we hopefully have learned from them. 'Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil". I will leave you with that. Have a great weekend

This apology should not be about saving face in the public eye, it's about Will rectifying the situation and taking responsibility. Like it or not, whether Will is an actor, a bus driver or a teacher, he has to come correct. This apology needed help. It reeked of celebrity ego-saving. In a shady way it kind of places some responsibility on Chris to do his part in healing the situation. He wasn't the one who slapped anyone. The onus is on Will. Chris doesn't ever have to talk to Will if he doesn't want to. Chris doesn't need to be manipulated nor publicly forced into having a heart to heart with Will in order to fix things. He never broke anything.
