japan vlog ⛩️ kyoto | arashiyama, gion, kinkaku-ji, nijo castle

This is the second full day of Kyoto for my first time in Japan trip!
We spent the morning exploring all of Arashiyama - taking pictures at the bamboo grove, strolling through the traditional Japanese gardens at okochi-sanso villa and tenryuji, and trying the different foods at downtown Arashiyama. We kept the day busy in the afternoon by checking out nijo castle and kinkaku-ji before ending the night at the gion district.
Kyoto offers a completely different vibe compared to Tokyo. Although it's just as busy, if not more crowded, Kyoto's peaceful and traditional aura will forever have a place in my heart.

How did you get from the castle to Kindaku-ji? Going next week and was trying to figure out logistics. Great video

we were tight on time so we had to take a taxi. but there is a bus stop right outside the castle that will take you there! the buses are super efficient in Kyoto. have fun!
