So settle into a comfy chair with a cup of something warm to share in her personal and professional journey over the years, as she offers viewers empathy, self-effacing levity, and heart-warming insight into her writing process and transformative outlook on life.
Louise, I watched your talk with great interest. Thank you for sharing
Astonishing video. I just your books after watching the TV series on Amazon. The characters are fantastic. I love Ruth so much. Thank you for the books and your lovely video. Be happy Louise. Love from Arizona
Ms. Penny, I discovered Armand and Three Pines in the last year. That is where I escape to when things get to be too much during the pandemic. Thank you!
I didn't find you and your books until just before the pandemic. And I have survived it by binge reading ALL of them. I love your writing and your characters - the twists and turns, the surprises and poignant circumstances. I simply cannot thank you enough for transporting me to Three Pines and Paris. I will read them again and again.
I enjoyed this moving, intimate chat with Louise Penny, one of my favourite contemporary writers. Thank you Louise for being you.
what a wonderful way to spend Monday morning; making a beaded snowflake and listening to this visit with Louise! I found myself laughing in agreement with her so many times! Thank you.
Thank you for this very moving, inspirational video of Louise Penny speaking to ‘us’ (me!) and allowing a very candid, honest, heartfelt message to be sent in these trying times! Louise Penny is a lovely human being and fantastic writer and it is gratifying to see this kind of openness of someone so well known relating her own personal history, triumphs, challenges and experiences to help others and make us all realize that We’re All In This Together. Love her asides on the writing process of her phenomenal book series. THANK YOU!
What a lovely interview! I have not read any of your books yet but you have inspired me to do so! Merci mille fois de La Colombie-Britannique!
First, thank you, Ms Penny--for opening your memory, experience and, especially, your heart to us. (AT 22 minutes you observe that the group of artists you joined were from disparate areas of art but all had the same "root." There is an ancient East Indian saying: We go from one little piece of holy ground to another." That is, if a ditch-digger is the best ditch-digger he can be, then his ditch-digging is as much "holy ground" as Miguelangelo working on the Sistine Chapel, or J.S. Bach composing a chorale or a two-part invention--as you well know, Ms Penny.) Thank you.
We still need to be protecting ourselves and others with this mutating virus with continued mask wearing and careful with socialization. What’s lovely is how Louise creates community for us in her storytelling. Heartfelt applause and appreciation. This is my first time on this channel. Thank you so very much for providing a platform that gives your guest speaker the entire time. I feel like I’m having coffee with Louise Penny and selfishly enjoying her all to myself. Genius🎉 The intro is lovely ❤ with the young artists.
I have just thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening to Lousie Penny. She has such a calm voice and manner, I could listen to her all day. So wise too and on top of all that I love her Insp Gamache books. Thank you.
“How the light gets in” is My favourite specially the ending.... uufffhhh that ending. Loved it
Your books are bringing me joy. Yes, mostly they just make me happy BUT occasionally when reflecting upon a certain passage or sometimes one of your characters, joy will give me that little kiss that you described. Thank you.
