    thanks. I haven't been there since 1992. I think when I first went there with a friend in 1990or 1991,it had just opened. I liked how it was on the water, and kind of quaint, and then not that big. I think there was a small carousel for kids, and food like hot dogs and pizza, and ice cream. The development may destroy its charm. I hope not.

    Unfortunately there are billionaire developers who convinced the wealthy city officials to tear down Seaport Village and build a commercialized plaza and more hotels in the area. They're calling it a redevelopment but it's a removal of Seaport Village as San Diego has known it for 35+ years.
