Hilary Mwelwa & Hil St Soul -one of the best entries on the UK soul scene in the early 2000s. She still endures to this day, great lyrics, vocals, arrangements. Eternally grateful for being turned onto her, wish her continued success and WHEN IS AMERICAN MUSIC going to scoop her up? Come on, man, the UK has so many great artists!
It's a shame isn't it? I mean, for me to hear that beautiful R&B/Jazz/Funk fusion I've got to listen to bands from the UK. I noticed towards the end of her song she incorporated some of The Gap Band's "Yearning For Your Love". It's like the United States is trying to deprive us of this genre of beautiful music.
@@martyemmons1859 I appreciate an artist who puts together a themed album. That's a lost art -to be able to take listeners on the journey the artist was on when they wrote their songs. Wow, she would be AWESOME at Hollywood Bowl, LA Greek, or Berkeley Greek. Especially Berkeley, there's just something about that place and the acoustics.
