Ward Kimball AND Frank Thomas…two of the greatest animators of the 20th century.
Also slaying trombone and piano. Iconic.
7:35 Look at Cubby go on the drums. He’s really good.
THAT
WAS
THE
BEST
THING
I´VE
SEEN
IN MY
LIFE.
The MMC was an incredibly sophisticated children's TV show for 1955 . More so than many adult " prime time " programs at the time .
That’s Ward Kimball on the trombone. One of Disney’s top animators. He had a real railroad in his backyard and was a huge model train collector.
And so was his boss Walt Disney!
God Bless Firefighters.
The Tiger rag song is awesome and it reminds me of the 1954 cartoon “Dixieland Droopy”
The Mickey Mouse Club TV shows were GREAT entertainment in the 50's! And some of the kids went on to have great careers in show biz.
12/27/55 was a Tuesday and Tuesday was Guest Star Day.
Right. In the post-1962 repeats, it was presented on "Anything Can Happen Day".
This aired on my Birthday! I think I turned 7 years old!
I love this video, I have watch it already 30 times in two weeks, it is GREAT
The Fire House Five Plus Two was GREAT! It inspired me to play the tuba, and I'm still playing it in my church orchestra and a community band when I'm 82 years old.

Go Lonnie, Bonni, Mary, Sharon, Mike and of course Doreen!! What a fun Great Dance number!! Enjoyed it all.
Ward Kimball (trombone), Danny Alguire (cornet), George Probert (soprano sax), Dick Roberts (banjo), Ed Penner (tuba), Monte Mountjoy {drums), Frank Thomas (piano)
¡ Gran aporte, my friend !
The drummer here is Eddie Forrest, who handled the sticks on most of the FH5+2's later albums.
Thanks for the correction!
I still have 2 of their record albums
This might have the most Mouseketeers in one skit.
And not a black face among them.
@@PreservationEnthusiast and not an Asian nor a Buddhist nor a handicapped person… Go take it up with a dead Walt Disney.
Big deal. It means nothing
Only 6 of the 24 Mouseketeers at the time are missing from this skit. Almost all of them are utilized in this one.
@@PreservationEnthusiast which is refreshing
Awesomeness..
Some of the scenes here was on the original Disneyland episode “At home with Donald Duck”.
5:19 That’s the song that was on the original Disneyland episode “At Home with Donald Duck”.
8:08 What Tigger would’ve looked like had the original “Winnie the Pooh” shorts been made in the ‘50s
I wanna be a fireman and join The Firehouse Five, I wanna be a fireman, and play that Dixie jive...
If a fire threatens a forest, no tree shall be lit
Those flames will feel the wrath, of my mighty fart-noise armpit
*proceeds with armpit solo*
Boy, do I remember that.
I like it but the sound reminded me of a place I went on a trip.
Disneys "7 Old Men"
me 6k.
