But in their live performance you feel as if the length of this song were only 30 seconds and want to listen to it forever. Now in 2021, BABYMETAL performed this song each and every show in 10 BABYMETAL Budokan concerts which completed on April 15. Whenever they performed this song, I saw celestial beauty and heard angelic voices.
Thanks for the nice reaction. I'm Japanese and a big fan of Babymetal. I always get sentimental when I listen to this song. I'm grateful to Kitsune-sama that I was there on the day of this concert at Tokyo Dome, and I still can't forget the sight of 55,000 people's neck braces creating a sea of light.

Excellent reaction. Yes the piano at the start started at the end of the previous song ('Tales of the Destinies') and led into 'The One' as the two songs go together (they were originally two parts of the same song but were separated during the writing process), so it is the introduction to 'The One'.
You were exactly right, 'The One' is a song they dedicated to their fans (also called The One) and it is in English because as they toured the world they realised their fans were learning Japanese to sing along with them. They were very touched and humbled and decided that as a sign of their respect and love for the fans they should challenge themselves to learn a song completely in English, so this is that song and it is their love letter to the fans.
This was their biggest solo show to date at the Tokyo Dome. All the lights you saw at the start were 55,000 people all wearing neck braces with an LED light in them.

Thankyou for your reaction👊🏽⚡️This is the song that should open the Tokyo olympics!!!! The into to this song is actually the ending to the song, “Tales of the destinies”. IMO one of the most epic songs ever. Definitely a must see for Babymetal fans.
Good decision to see them live! 55.000 glowing necklaces and Su's voice give me goosebumps every time. After I heared this song for the first time, i googled the guitar chords and play and sing it from time to time eversince (but on acoustic guitar, else my neighbours would yell at me haha)

"The One" is basically a love letter to their fans, also called "The ONE". It probably won't top favorite songs lists but it's very touching. And this performance, well, actually the combo "Tales of the destinies" followed by "The One" is one of my favorite BABYMETAL moments.
There is a moment (8:51 mark on your video), when Su saw the neckbraces lit for the first time and she shows her amazement for a second before she goes back to her usual metal mode. It's priceless.

The official music video for 'THE ONE' has the mixed (part Japanese/part English) version.
There is no fully Japanese version of the song.
Usually this song is entirely in English, even when it's performed in Japan.
Recently they have been starting off with the softer "Unfinished version" before going into the heavier version with drums and guitars.
Su's English just gets better and better.
You can hear her struggle a bit with the word "world" (with that tricky R & L combination) in this video.
In recent performances, her pronunciation is just about perfect.

Good reaction. You have to do Lynyrd Skynyrd "Freebird" live. Just for your own experience. There's only a few songs in rock that are 100% an experience, not just a song. Stairway To Heaven, Bohemian Rhapsody and Freebird, and for me, no song captures the era more than the audio-orgasmic (yes, orgasmic) Freebird, prepare yourselves.

That version was so epic. At the Tokyo Dome, Su getting emotional as BabyMetal soaked in all the love from the thousands of The One gathered. I was just watching the video and felt pride in what BabyMetal has accomplished but proud of The One.

Are you for real? Because even metal legends artists said Babymetal is the most metal group in last decade, and they're still growing. Also funny thing, they entertain "only japanese" while dedicating entire songs in english to international fans, go figure.
