I am actually so happy that these are are dupes of the indie brands. I live in Europe and ordering from US or Canada and even UK at the moment makes those multichromes so expensive with the cost of shipping and customes added on top of the price that it is just not worth it. So Danessa just solved my multichrome needs.

The selling point that got me to buy this as soon as it was released was the fact that I don't have to wait for restocks. I have tried stalking indie websites for multichrome shades I would like to buy, sometimes for months, and I STILL can't get what I'd like. 🤷🏼♀️ Maybe one is available at a time, but shipping is so much (if I buy one at a time) and the wait times are so long, it's just not practical for me. Thank you for the comparisons and looks! I'm really excited to receive it. 😃

I'm in the same boat. I haven't tried anything from Danessa Myricks, so it felt like a good way to try the brand. Seeing the comparisons, I can see that I have some of the shades from Devinah, but I like the idea of having everything all in one palette.
I feel like I have a lot of the Indie brand dupes so although this palette is beautiful, I won’t use that glitter or cream shade and can pretty much dupe out the rest in my collection, so thank you for saving me $125!
That is exactly how I feel too! It's a beautiful palette, but once you break down each shade, it's pricey for glitter and duochromes, and only really has 3 good multichromes. The indie brand in Canada is in Canadian dollars, so is cheaper than USD, and have sales pretty often. I built my own palette that way with less money, and way better duos, multis, and pastel multichromes. Plus even their 5$ shimmers are to die for!
I bought it. Kinda wish I waited for vids cause I have a lot of those multichromes in my collection. I’m still gonna use it lol.

This was such a helpful review. I didn't pick it up and now I'm glad I didn't because I have most of the dupes you showed us from other brands. I'm also holding hard and fast to my not buying palettes with pressed glitter rule. I just don't wear glitter, fall out or not. It is beautiful, but definitely for someone who doesn't have a lot of multichromes, which isn't me.

If you're looking for a great eyeshadow primer for oily and hooded eyes, you NEED to get the Nars smudge proof eyeshadow primer! It is my holy grail! My eyeshadow never smudges and my shadow stays on for HOURS! The whole day actually! even in hot weather my eyeshadow stays on! It's a game changer! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❤️

Oh wow. I think u just saved me $125. I appreciate this review so much. I just don’t know about paying $125 for a palette where I know 3 of the colors I likely won’t be able to use. I think I am always hesitant to buy from indie brands because the options are overwhelming and because half the time they are out of stock.
I’m so glad you did such a thorough review and did so many dupes/comparisons! The middle shades automatically made me think of ABH with there highlighter palette I’ve had for many years I don’t wear those types of highlighters anymore as I’ve gotten older so when she releases this it looks beautiful but I really had to dissect what’s in it and in reality what I don’t have and what will I use! For the price I didn’t buy it I wanted to see reviews and I’m glad I didn’t nothing against the palette but it’s just not for me Pat McGrath is so for me her palettes are right up my alley but again she put those big pans of colorful highlighters in there was a big no for me
I only have one multichrome which is the one in Divine Rose 2. I definitely want more. This palette is gorgeous. I love your looks! ❤️
Thank you for getting the review up so fast! I found it really helpful (you saved me $125 - I don't mind paying it for PML, whose formula I love and I can use all 10 shades on my eyelids without issue. Those editorial creme shadows are a pretty big disappointment when you said they're definitely not lasting on the lid - those two and the glitter were probably the three colors that I was most drawn in by, and of course they're the ones I won't be able to use).
I didnt even realize when I bought it that those two were gels, when I opened the palette is when I noticed it. I think if it was a brand like Fenty even less people would buy it because that audience isnt the same as Danessa Myricks which is more fun colors and editorial looks

1st time viewer , love the fact you showed these against other formulas and love the fact you used lights to really see the true shift, great comparison work x . personally i wont be getting this because of price, multi/duo chromes are a fun look but there not an everyday for me ,so im not going to get alot of use from them , then also i know i can get the same thing from much cheaper indie brands and lastly a feel like multi/duo chromes are a young persons thing ( in general ) and i think this is alot of money for younger ppl. i know lots of students who would love this , but they would never pay that price for it .id rather buy a patt mcgrath pallet for stunning formulas that translate on the eye but that i can make everyday looks from so i know im going to get my moneys worth

You are the best!!! 🙌 I ALMOST pulled the plug on this but decided to go with Jolie Beauty's 2 palettes, Vampyrism and Sorceress to review instead, and I am glad I did that. This palette does have beautiful multi chromes but nothing we don't already have. TYSM for reviewing this! Saved me some $ girl! I wish she would do a similar palette but with regular mattes too. I am thinking of pairing these types of shades with Hindash's palette once it finally comes in the mail. Anyhoo tysm!

This is my first Danessa Myricks product and I’m so excited for mine to come in the mail! I have duochromes for days but I’m overwhelmed by the vast amount of choices indie makeup brands have to offer when it comes to multichromes. it's really pretty and i'm glad someone who is easily accessible made an all shimmer/metallic palette of interesting shades. i think a lot of sephora shoppers will be impressed by this palette while a lot of indie shoppers are less excited/interested/impressed. i think it would be a good idea if she sold the mini (so the middle big pans) separately, but i think it's nice that if you buy from her site, she includes it as a bundle for the same price as the big palette by itself

I wouldnt be surprised if the 4 iridescent shades (or holographic pigments as they call it on the website) would end up being sold separately eventually

I went for the palette, as I don't have a bazillion multichromes (yet - lol) and I got 20% off plus the extra 4 center pans palette for free. I like having the black in the palette (makes it a good travel palette), I'm curious about the cream shades, and just curious overall about her formulas (this is my first DM purchase).

The cream shades are interesting, they do stay sticky on the skin which is something to keep in mind
Great video, Millie. I would totally think I wanted this palette if I hadn't seen this video. If I want these multichromes (or, even the duochrome topper shades) I would go to an Indie brand. The bundles they sell are less money and better quality. I think if those cream shades were also multichromes, I might consider it more but I wouldn't touch those because I wouldn't know what the hell to do with them! I appreciate your comparisons, too!
They called those gels duochromes on their website but they did shift for sure, but as a gel product im not sure you would be able to see more than two shifts once it’s on the skin especially because they’re pretty sheer
I kind of wanted this palette but I’m so glad I watched this and saw all the swatches and comparisons.I have similar enough shadows between all of my terra moons and Clionadh that it would be a waste of money for me.

I am chagrined to admit that you have successfully talked me out of this extremely expensive palette that I've had my eye on ever since I saw Danessa use it on one of her fantastic "Teach Me Tuesdays". 😿 Instead I am starting to copy your kit, using your affiliate links of course! Sugar Drizzle's "Moonbeam" is in my basket right now and I can't wait for the Blend Bunny "Surge" palette to restock since it looks like a great alternative to the Viseart petite palettes I've also been eyeing. I've become addicted to multichromes...have picked up a couple Karlas in the pressed powder form following your recommendation in another video and love them so much I hate to take them off at night and am terrified to de-pot them! I've also acquired a worrisome ColorFix habit and love using those under my multichromes (once I figured out how to put them on without making a dog's dinner of it). Thank you also for clarifying why some products don't dry down on me: oily, hooded lids. I love your channel! 😻

The cream is sticky and slick it won’t dry down with anything. I think that wouldn’t work to mix two formulas together
Melissa, I think the best way to order from indies is when they have a pre order. They usually run those for a few weeks. That way you get the ones you want and you don’t have to deal with the stress of missing the release time. If you follow their ig accounts they always announce the pre orders. Hope that maybe helped. 😊

ABH has a highlighter palette with iridescent colors like those, Kristen Leigh Cosmetics, Kaleidos Makeup, and any iridescent multis you already have could double as highlighter. Those shades in this palette are not particularly unique imo
@@badtothebrow I was thinking the same thing about many highlighters being the same. If all your looking for is iridescent multis then highlighters are a good way to go.

So.... I did not buy this. I had a feeling that I definitely have all of the iridescent highlighter shades & many of the other shades as well. This vid just solidified it for me. As you know, I'm not the biggest fan of black based multis only because I just am not the type of person to put one shade all over my lid (usually) & prefer colored base or grey based at most! Black based are really really beautiful but the ones I have? I just don't ever reach for them 🥺 I think if this had been a full palette of colored based or grey based, I may have jumped on it. The price had me really evaluate whether I needed it & I'm glad I didn't pick it up. I'm really shocked she put a glitter in it 😬

Try using the cream shades on top of others 👍🏻 they are super vibrant and go great in the inner corner or on the lower lid
My lids are too oily unfortunately for that

I saw this and was like *yawn* but then your swatches have me looking at it a bit closer, I think this palette has great points (the black being there makes a lot of sense), but I am still hesitant because I didn’t like the twin flames and looking at comparisons there’s nothing really unique, I’d call this a good try, seems like they’re close to getting it right. I like DM’s complexion products but I think I’ll skip it.

The multichrome shades are really smooth and metallic! Not anything compared to the Twin Flames which are liquid technically
I totally agree with you. Nothing new as beautiful as it is and I just commented I wish she would've included SOME mattes besides the black. Glad to hear they're better than twin flames tho :) I love DM, she's so talented and love her dew wet balms but this wasn't as innovative as I hoped it would be?

@@DanielleNicoleMakeup I love her too, and I think that if it weren’t for other indie brands (I think DM is indie but bigger?) doing great with multi chrome shadows I would have been much more interested in this.

Hi. I found your channel for, an iVanessa Myricks latest palette 🎨. I really enjoyed your demonstration. So inspiring. I’m thinking about getting this palette this Christmas 🎄. As well as some niche fragrances. I just picked up the Natasha Denona Sunset palet today ($33.00) at Sephora , and I received the Pat McGrath Celestial Odyssey palette last week. I . Wonder if Sydney Grace offers these multi Chrome shadows/ Pigments? Lastly I’m trying to decide which of the 3 Oden’s collab palettes I should add to my collection. I’m coming off of a long no buy, as well as a major declutter of 2/12 - 3 years plus eye palettes. I think this would be a great gift to ask for! I had the 3 pressed multis from Sydney Grace and wasnt a huge fan of them, they’re very flakey and would come off my eyes

Thank you for the comparisons, but even in the swatches is visible the way danessa melts in the skin compared with the other textures, I prefer pallets then singles , because I don’t reach for them . This is like the most phenomenal pallet.
Im not sure what you mean as some shades looked and felt identical in person
