A fear of recurrence, (the concern that cancer will come back after treatment) is common among survivors. Whilst having some concerns about a potential recurrence is natural, approximately 50-70% of Canadians living with melanoma have a clinical fear of recurrence that significantly impacts their quality of life. Watch Dr. Rob Rutledge, lead for the Cancer Patient Empowerment Program (PC-PEP) and Cancer PEP (Patient Empowerment Program) and a Radiation Oncologist as he discusses managing a fear of recurrence and ways to lessen anxiety. Recorded Live at our Melanoma Patient Information Session

Fabulous presentation. Having made a career in mental health, it was terrific to see this presentation which is applicable to an an approach to life, not specific only to Melanoma or other cancer. Thank you!
Thank so much for watching! We agree - Dr. Rutledge's advice and tools are so beneficial.
Many thanks, Doctor, for this video. All the tools are presented to manage this fear from the moment of diagnosis and also at the end of treatment. And in all of life's difficult situations.
Thank you for watching. We agree - these tools can be used all throughout the cancer journey.
