- I've made another transparent overflow. This time it is a surface overflow. Hopefully this will give you an idea why a surface overflow would potentially fail as air gets trapped inside the overflow pipe.

Question: The 2 elbows on the top that make the bridge, if i change 1 of them into a T and a end-cap should the air have a place to stay in that area and give siphon a longer time to stay active?
Question2: If the pump that is sucking the air using ventury effect is lower and display tank water is lower than the drain is it possible for the pump to suck the water out of the tube entirely and stop the siphon?

nice, how close does the airline need to be for this to work? what if you want to put the return line on the otherside of the tank etc, not right next to the entry?

It depends on what pump and how big ur sump tank is. Whether it can store the water displacement from ur main tank

I don’t understand if this system act like a syphon or overflow.I want the excess water to fall into the tube, I don't want the water to be sucked out of the tube quickly like a siphon
It is an overflow. Excess water will flow into the slit and will get suck out accordingly. If the excess water is added slowly, then it will also get expel slowly.
Would making the down pipe under the overflow intake longer give time for the air to separate from the water before it can get into the siphon?
Sorry, I’m not able to fully understand the question asked. Which “down pipe” are you referring too?

Tat is a rubber grommet

Hi, is the end cap drilled with a hole on top?
No there is no hole in the end cap. The opening is required for you to fill up water during initial setup and u need to close it off during operation.

If you drill a hole on the cap and make that pipe a little higher you would need the little hose to prime it

Can you make the air out without pump machine?
Yes u can make it using venturi suction which i demo-ed in my video

No i am using venturi method to suck out the air

Saya pernah cuba. tak menjadi, ada tekanan air di dalam paip, air akan sedut separuh sahaja....setelah cuba buat menggunakan diy venturi saya ni..udara dapat sedut keluar..kalau tak dapat buat diy venturi, boleh beli pump yg blh sedut keluar udara/air.
saya tiru design ni czcams.com/video/VKv3_bjJT50/video.html .. so far boleh cutoff dan reprime automatically
