And it also debunks the stigma that people have to fully heal before they get in relationships. People are hurting themselves trying to be perfect for the right person, and the right person already knows you’re not perfect. Not to say that you shouldn’t work on yourself if you need healing, but there are people out here who want to see you healthy and will work with you to help you get there.

It's so great to hear their story! Destene's dating experience is so much like mine! I just work, rest, church, repeat! Occasionally, I go out to the bookstore, movies, or the mall but that's it. Dating sites are a bust so God is definitely going to have to bring us together because nothing else is working!

I can relate to her when she said she was discouraged being single. As a 58 single woman, no kids, never married, I find myself asking those same questions, after awhile you don't wanna hear the cliché, its in God's timing, he's right around the corner, trust God, He has you in a bubble, etc. I'm at the point if it happens okay and if it doesn't okay.

I feel you! I'm 50 no children and I've never been married! I can relate with Destene because I lost the man that I was going to marry and after him I refused to settle or have children with just anyone! I always desired someone that I could build with and evolve together! I've learned to be content and not miss something I've never had!
@@Keandra_9 not everyone had several options in their prime. People always assume that’s the case after you reach a certain age. There are many women in 50’s and 60’s that never married because they didn’t meet the right one and chose not to settle. While there are also many married women who settled for the sake of getting married. It’s obviously not easy because 50% of marriages end in divorce.

I haven’t finished the ep, but I’m glad I’m watching. I’ve seen their videos before and felt like they had staged videos for clout, but since watching this I really like the husband more. He’s really honest & I see why he didn’t commit to her so early, they were only dating for a month. It’s not his fault she was playing Wifey without a title, but that’s what a lot of us women do..I loved his answer about what he saw when he first met her and why he pursued her. I think a lot of men say the cute answer of I knew I could build with her, I knew she was the one. Dudes cut the crap you ain’t seen that in a first meeting. You saw lust or a person to meet your agenda of marriage. This guy said she looked fun and was laughing and that attracted him so he pursued her👏🏽. His honesty is great. I too love hearing how people have met. It's so encouraging hearing the diversity of the way or vehicle God uses to bring two people together. They are a beautiful couple for sure! I actually thought they had been married for many years & hiding their beautiful kids from us, only to come across their engagement video! You guys talked about trust, and I think more to it is respect for each other. Some things Brandon was saying about Destene are words of a man that watches her a lot and holds a strong sense of respect for who she is as a person. One of the things that God has been talking to me about is that many will experience a delay in marriage so they can build enough desire/character to stay committed once they're married because, today, this union is taken for granted by many. Brandon and Destene were made for each other. Such a beautiful couple. One question you asked stuck with me and that was the age difference. I had a problem with that once upon a time, but now, I think differently. I use to say that I would not date or marry anyone younger than me. But after what I have gone through and/or experienced, I soon changed my way of thinking. Some of the younger men act more mature and more like a gentleman than some of the older men. No disrespect toward anyone.....ijs.
