I cannot describe how painful it is too see all those Germany stuck too those pages 😧. Love the videos quite the haul again lol . Hope you can do grab bag videos again soon , as those are my favorites besides what's in the box. 🙂 Hope your doing well Caleb and Carson !
Nice haul! I have gotten box lots like this in the past few years with glued albums that come free in water so I just put them in the soak box. Make sure you change out your water a few times so they don't get glued to your drying paper lol. The most interesting stuff is often the on-paper; I have found tons of very nice used stamps that a previous collector never got around to soaking.
Thank you for breaking this up into smaller videos. Thank you for acknowledging stamps collectors of all genders, very inclusive of you. My two daughters collect and I am very interested in why all I see at stamps shows are white men. Such a great hobby to share with everyone. Please do a video walkthrough of you soaking the glued in stamps. I bet many out there would love to see your approach.
If it works to soak the pasted on stamps, you may want to try stamp lift fluid or a stamp lift box with the unused stamps. Both products are available from stamp dealers and may help to preserve some of the stamp gum.
Flea Markets have hidden nuggets every now and again, great find Mallard. I hope the stamps can be removed without damage, someone spent a lot of time and interest in their collection.
First Planters album I have ever seen. I found an Ivory stamp album and an EKKO Radio Verification Stamp albums. I have a couple of albums where the stamps were glued in. So frustrating. I am hoping the ones I have are glued in with a water base glue, but with my luck..... Looks like a great haul.
Hey Mallard! Great video! I sent you an email having to do with this video! It is so sad to see those stamps all glued, but they did a good job with collecting them! Take care!
That is so awesome I love stamps . You are very lucky to get s chance to go through and keep all those stamps. I'm extremely jealous. I suggest you just leave those glued stamps as they are.
I love finding boxes full off stamps and go through them to see what's there. I had a album that was glued on had a lot off problem to get off .Great video 👍. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺😎
I feel your pain with the glue. I recently found an album where the creator used sellotape instead of hinges. Many of the stamps were ruined and stained from the glue on the tape.
I've got some stamps that are good if your interested a ton of fdcs and swedish collection all very well kept and I think you would want some of them forsure. Lots of old postcards from 1860s and up.
Hey mallard, if you still have any Scott's books whatsoever I'd really enjoy having any as I don't have any and struggle with online guide's. Thank you
Try making your own Stamp Lift fluid. It's basically distilled water with a drop of dish detergent. Try a mix of 16 ounces distilled water to 1 drop of dish detergent (it will be alot cheaper than buying Stamp Lift). Mix well, but don't shake it, because you'll wind up with a bunch of bubbles. Hope this helps
Yo, if you still got all that stamp supplies, I'd be interested in some I'd buy it from you. I am a new collector and stamps and trying to get up some supplies.
Mint Scott pages. I am very interested in Malaysia, Malaysia States, Japanese occupation, and Malaya. I will be eternally grateful if you have these pages for any particular year. Please advise me of any postage costs.
If it was water based glue they used you should still be able to remove those stamps with soaking (A lot of people glue their stamps to envelopes instead of licking or wetting them otherwise nowadays. I collect modern stamps often, it’s usually possible to still remove these stamps from the envelope so I think these stamps in here might be okay too.) , only a shame any mint stamps are in unused condition now.
3:00 Id be very interested in the lithuania pages im Lithuanian living in switzerland i started collecting stamps about 2 months ago I could pay for the shipping but I can only pay in euros and swiss francs. I have Mastercard, revolut, swiss postfinance and twint

Bestine may work for stamp removal as well. Certainly worth a try. Also Lindner makes some products that could aid removal.

Nice find ! Looks like a lot of work trying to get those stamps to come off! Let us know how you made out.
My goodness that quite a collection! BTW do you have any Mystic Heritage albums to sell?
Also wondering if the Scott International pages include 1966. I’d be interested in those.
Even if you can't remove the stamps, it is a nicely illustrated reference and showpiece.

I was given a stamp album with all glued in stamps. I spent a week but got most stamps out by soaking in water. Most were saved.

That's a big haul! Can't you remove the glued stamps with isopropyl alcohol or benzene? At least the album hasn't been picked through ;)
Maybe the glued albums should be left intact? It is wonderfully personalized. But I agree it's gut-wrenching to hear the pages crackle with glue.
How much was the whole lot?
Scott Pages. A set of pages for 1 year is interesting to me. Please advise me of postage.

Uma bela coleção contudo a maioria dos selos foram colados e isto os inutilizou viraram álbum de figurinhas.😢

Wait were those the Wagner issues I saw in there?! 😭😭
I hope they can be saved.
Ah no, they weren’t I think (had a second look) still though 😭
