Thank you so much! I have already processed the lot, at least a quick one and found some great treasures including a Penny Black, used. What luck as I was looking to buy one!

Romania pre-1962.......most likely postally used. The early 60s is when the Eastern Bloc countries started doing CTOs. I attended an APS chapter meeting in Pittsburgh in the 1990s and the guest speaker mentioned that 99% of the commemoratives from the Soviet Union, Poland, Hungary and Romania printed between 1959 and 1991 were CTOs. Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, and East Germany were about 90% CTOs for the same period. I thought that was quite interesting.

What great information, now we know! I have always wondered how many and when these were prolific!

How about making a video to show us how your US collection for example. Mounts or hinges. Are you using commercial albums like Palo or are you printing your own sheets? That kind of thing as it is always interesting to see how people collect especially if they use stockbooks.

Looks like an interesting purchase. I'm curious how many collections you collect at the same time. In this film you mention a few thematic ones, and in your earlier films you also showed collections of countries.

IPSA was a short lived competitor of the USPO (now called the USPS) from 1968 through 1979. They specialized in carrying 3rd and 4th class mail. The stamps you displayed are from 1971 and are considered cinderellas by the UPU and its' members (including the USPS). If you can find used copies with a valid USPO cancel, those can be worth a lot to the right collector.

No offence but you really should be using a box cutter / Olfa knife to open those boxes because the way you are handling those scissors is more risky than a proper knife... I cringe every time i see you open something lol!!!
