- Quite a few of the DWs at Grays have had their kickdown removed / tweaked with a laptop, so essentially half of them have been nerfed. Mainly the reason why most of the 2-series DWs are most hated, but there is still a decent amount of DWs there which still have kickdown, between both the 09 and 59 plates. Here we've got route 66 where there's all the space to reach high speeds, similar to route 123! But wasn't caned to the limit, as you should tell by the lack of downshifts but this one's got more full throttle action! This particular DW isn't the quickest, but revs wise it is lovely, especially in the 3rd gear, it really puts in a shift before reaching 4th whilst full throtling!

Nice one man, I’m local to all these gen 1 DW’s (GY & DX stuff) and I would recommend DW233, DW242 and DW243 in praticular, those 3 are great!!

I absolutely love the Topodyn but the way the voith shrieks at high revs is just 👌🏽😩
This DB300 is a Euro 4, so I’ll compare this to Euro 4 E400 Tridents. In that case I prefer Euro 4 Enviro 400 Tridents, they sound amazing to me, especially with their axles, and their voith becomes very loud the higher they rev.
However comparing a Euro 5 DB300 to a Euro 5 Voith E400, I’ll prefer a DB300 purely because there are Euro 5 DB300 which still have Kickdown, as opposed to the E400s which are all slow as hell, unless they’ve got sensotop

See how TopoDyn is for buses with a ZF gearbox only, SensoTop works the same way, but for buses with a Voith gearbox
