"Megatron" BUILD:
1. Polaris Poly Roof Kit with Polaris Seal Kit for roof. (Vid #4) - Auta a dopravní prostředky
The only part I needed help with you didn’t show, three minutes of my life I can’t get back.
Mr Utah Trout Hunter…I apologize.
Thanks for the video man!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching.
Is there enough space on the front top bar to run a couple of Velcro straps under the roof to hold a bluetooth speaker or did seal kit kill that option? (Speaker would be right above where you’d usually have rear view mirror) Thanks
I'm sorry to keep you waiting. I just went out and looked at it. Once installed, tough, but not impossible. You could install something prior to installing the roof. And there's also a section behind - because it isn't a true bar at the front, that I think you could wrap around.
Nice video. Does the foam tape seal kit come with the roof kit or did you buy that separately? Have you had to make any repairs tho this Utv now that you’ve owned it a few years?
Yes, the foam kit comes with the roof. No repairs needed that I can recall.
im putting one on my crew now....im having issues with it sliding into place also....is the only trick a block of wood and hammer to tap it back
Khris, I apologize that it took me so long to get back to you! Yes, that is all I did to get it in place. I was patient with it, and it took a lot of tapping. But I did eventually get it there. Were you successful with yours?
@@SouthwestORV YES IT WENT ON NO ISSUES ONCE I TAPPED IT BACK. so far so good and i will be mounting led lightbar friday and hopefully windshield soon.....but yes its on!!....love my ranger...thanks for the video it really helped
I'm happy to hear that. I still intend to end up with a light bar and windshield too.
So hows everyone's crew roof doing. Im looking around for one for my 2023 ranger crew
XP1000.
Great! No complaints
You didn't show the front part install!!
I apologize, I could have been more thorough. It was a little tough at some points, but patience got it done.
Looks great man! You still glad you have it??
Thanks! Yes for sure.
I own over 8 polaris products. I’ve replaced nearly nothing and this dates back as far as 1989. I also own Honda machines as well and experienced the same thing I’ve replaced nothing. Only bad luck I’ve had is buying stuff that is dated and has worn out parts and being forced to use aftermarket Chinese garbage.
Glad you’ve had such good luck!
Just checking this video out because i just got the exact roof and it came with no screws. I guess i dont need them?
Mine did come with the necessary screws. That’s odd! They do hold it together in the center where they connect.
Neither did mine…. Took a ride last night and the front portion blew off!
Roofs are essential on sxs’s in my opinion
Oh yes. I agree 100% - which is why it was accessory #1.
You forgot the part where you installed the roof
I apologize.
Is there a headliner kit?
I believe they do...seems like I saw one available. I am not interested, but I'll bet if you call your nearest Polaris dealer and speak with the parts department they'll confirm. Thanks for watching!
Sorry about that not fuel filters , fuel pumps
Oh man! Fuel filters no biggie...fuel pumps = biggie.
How do you like polaris ? I had lots of issues with my 570 . 1500 miles and three OEM fuel filters . Seems to go out every 500 miles like clock work and then the front clutch went out . So I traded in . That’s why I have the Honda now . I owned one polaris trail boss 330 for wife and it did ok . I had 3 different Yamaha bike and quads with no issues. But that 2015 570 polaris was the worst experience of my life .
My personal experiences so far have been good. But I know many others have had bad experiences. This is the first Polaris that I have owned, and it's still brand new. But so far, I like it a LOT. I'm hoping it turns out to be awesome for my family. By awesome, I mean reliable and fun. I confess, I avoided Polaris for YEARS because of my own skepticism, but I decided it's time to give them a try myself.
I have replaced by Ranger's 2 piece roof 3 times now, almost once every 18 months. These roofs are terrible and pull themselves apart. The screws break off their holders and the whole thing rattles. I should have gone with a more expensive one piece roof.
I'm sorry to hear that Steve. I have had no issues with the roof on our machine.
