- The supposedly foreign kid that doesn't speak English, which is a lie that you'd know if you ever held Shift and clicked on Pablo as you will see at the end of this video. Pablo is easily the best kid. He is great at everything. No downsides to picking him. Very fitting nickname. He was made to be unfair. His theme makes me think of experiencing a triumphant victory, then celebrating about it.

Little fun fact: that Easter egg heard at the end of the video is actually a development in-joke. According to an NPR interview, they weren't able to find a native Spanish speaker in time for recording the voices, so they had to take the next best thing and cast the most convincing non-native speaker they found. The gag refers to the fact that his voice actor shared the exact experience - he only learned Spanish in school. So whether it's canon or not is up to the player to decide, it was probably never meant to mean anything deeper though.
Something else funny about Pablo is that they specifically designed him to look like a character you wouldn't normally pick - he's short, doesn't speak the common language, and his belly sticks out from under his shirt. But rather than making him bad, they decided to be ironic and make him the best player in the game, sort of as a reward for people who didn't judge a book by its cover. And thus a legend was born.

indeed so he is a STAPLE to have in your team cause if your trailing 4-1 at bottom of the ninth with bases loaded and full count, and you got THIS kid coming up to bat, I would wanna be the coach to have this kid to count on when the situation comes up to bat to blow the ball right out of the park to win me the game. and that's all I have to say about this kid other then when I was looking through the free agent roster to pick out my ball club and checked out Pablo's stats, im not gonna lie, my jaw dropped and my eyes widen before I said "sheesh!!! this kid's got some stats!!" so when playing this game, you HAVE to pick Pablo Sanchez, or else your just not gonna win without him unless by stroke of luck you strike this kid out (good luck with that)
