  • Tour du Mont Blanc Digital Flyover
Use this TMB flyover as a planning tool, or just to build enthusiasm for your upcoming hike. Most of the Rifugios and Refuges along the Tour du Mont Blanc trek are clearly marked, as well as the passes and border crossings.
This counter-clockwise digital flyover begins from Le Brevent, which is accessible by cable car from Chamonix. We prefer to start at Le Brevent instead of Les Houches, so that hikers don't have to wait all the way until the end of the hike for some of the best views of Mont Blanc. Starting at Le Brevent sets the stage for everything that is yet to come.
The TMB is a lot of work to plan and book yourself. If you would like assistance (without going guided or being forced into a group), check out our self-guided tour at www.alpenventu....
For those of you who are planning yourself, we have a great resource available online to assist you in your planning:

And if you are looking for a little more information about staying in mountain huts (refuges and rifugios), check out our online resource about that as well:
    www.alpenventu...
We also have videos on our CZcams channel about the Ladders on the Tour du Mont Blanc and Packing for a Hut Hiking Tour in the Alps.
Check out our website for alternative less-crowded hut hiking tours: www.alpenventu...

This is a great video. I think everyone who wants to take TMB should take a view. I did the hiking last summer but didn't finish the entire route. Will go back this summer if this damned virus gone.

Cool animation. What program do you use for the GPS animation?

These are generated by the Outdoor Active platform. We have to speed them up quite a bit though.
