When you are tormented when losing you learn not to. TW Abuse So long story short pain and abuse can make you develop skills or behaviors to avoid that punishment. I know from example from abuse and at the time my body would take over to avoid the pain and punishment of not obeying. So it makes sense he wouldn't lose because he was wired not to lose.

At first I had a problem with Playmaker never losing but it made sense since all the duels he was put in HE COULDN'T AFFORD TO LOSE
He was made to not lose
