Wow, what a day! We flew from Erbil, Iraq to Istanbul, Turkey for a short stay over to prepare for our next series. It was about time we made some MAJOR purchases!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this CZcams channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

It's hard to Express how much we appreciate this episode. Thank you for reaffirming why we LOVE your channel! There's literally just a handful of travel channels that are as 100% honest and giving as you two. You all really made us feel like you appreciate us following you. And that means a lot :)
You two have worked so hard over the past years and it's so clear how you work hard to budget and save. More important, these last few episodes have proven that you two are truly great ambassadors for the USA. Some channels try and say they are, but in fact they're just making home movies. Turkish Delight I tried a sample this month while in Turkey and didn't like but maybe there are different kinds. Instead I bought a bunch of amazing cookies while I was there...yummy. I want to go back to Turkey! I will try it again next time there.

Firstly, you guys have worked so hard to earn this career so you 100% deserve it. Secondly, I love that you don’t have a ‘throw away’ attitude about your equipment- it should feel like a big deal! Also, I totally agree with not just getting the best camera all the time, I was once told that you should only upgrade when your camera spec starts to limit your creativity 😉

I am a wedding photographer. I have to make large purchases for my gear every few years and it always takes my breath away. Quality professional equipment is expensive but necessary. This is part of your growth and the next step for your channel/business. The one thing that helps me get through those times of spending a lot of money is that you can write it off on taxes as a business expense!!!

As a Sony A6300 shooter I felt very sad to see your A6500 go. The thing that everyone comments on when I show them your channel is the quality of your video and the excitement you guys bring. Hopefully the heavier new gear won't slow you down.
As for your gear, you did the right thing. It's an investment in your career. Just like with any job, you need the right tools, and these are your tools. I'm a photography buff, and nothing is important than the right camera & lens.

Definitely loved this series. It really showed what it's like and how nice the people are. You both are very lucky to travel there and its so nice for sharing the experience with us.
If travel doesn’t have an emotional and intellectual impact I’d argue it wasn’t worth it. On the gear side ... you’ve done well with current kit can’t imagine what a new kit will bring. Remember (I know you do this) to put the camera down, relax! Take a breath and enjoy where you are😀

Camera and equipment is the most fun and such stressful purchase experience ever. I love Sony cameras and I have the a7ii :) Hoping one day I can justify my desire for a drone! The shots are incredible but right now I would never use it :/
It will be an outstanding investment if you continue past 100 countries.....you are getting close, like 11 or 12 away right? I frankly hope you continue after 100, but I know that's a particularly huge decision for you guys (or not....LOL what the hell do I know???).
