Don’t forget the In-n-Out secret menu next time to try. Also get some stickers for your suitcase.
Where are the drivers staying in austin? Are you going to 6th Street tonight? If you are, I will look you up.
Daniel Ricciardo was spotted at voodoo donuts tonight!
@@karloanttila McLaren drivers always stay in Hilton hotels.
@@karloanttila based on 2019, team members and drivers stayed at either Fairmont, Kimpton, or Omni Downtown. Well it depends on what team. For McLaren, they're sponsored by Hilton
@@hipotenuza5663 awesome! Thank you! I'm heading down to Austin on thursday.
It's so weird after seeing you all over the world to see you in a place I've come to call home. I've lived in Texas, just north of Houston, for almost 10 years now. This year tickets sold out amazingly fast. I hope next year I'll finally make it to the F1GP.
Best of luck!
The US has really woken up to F1, it’s harder to get tickets now. Hello from Colorado! I also missed out on tickets, unless I wanted to pay almost $1000!
Always enjoy the travel blogs, and I've never seen a filling station that size.
Everything is bigger in Texas lol
@@sheriffola In America in general.
Love Buc-ees! Think thats the first one I visited when I first went to USGP in Austin! The are now in Florida too.
Kym’s Travel vlogs are so great! :)
True
Agreed
Always look forward to this videos! Great Content!
I always looks forward to the travel videos, always fun to see you head around the world!!
Honestly pretty pumped up of the absolute gorgeous shot that you're going to take in the Circuit of Americas
Best of luck at all the love man
So glad you got to experience a Buccee’s and show it to the world. Hope you have a great time here in Texas!
Welcome to the USA, Kym! Love your videos, man. Hopefully everyone in Austin treats you well!
You should try Whataburger when in Texas. It’s a staple!
P. Terry's is even better
Cheers Kym, welcome and I hope you enjoy your time in the state I call home! Keep the great content going and don’t forget to eat some good brisket!!
Was eagerly waiting for this vlog
Another great video Kym - keep up the great work and vids!
Torchy's Tacos in Austin is amazing.
Hit up El Primo on South 1st
The best in town!
My favorite for lunch tacos is El Taccorida, nearby
Thought you weren't going to upload a travel vlog after your Dallas video! Very glad you have 😆
Howdy Kym, Welcome to Texas :)
I hope you enjoy your stay here. Btw the price for the fuel is in gallons so you paid 2.99 USD for about 3.75 liters :)
I was 👀 do real?! Can't be that pricey in the thirsty us 😅
Yep more like 60 liters ... 13 gallons ...
Great video Kym, awesome
Glad you enjoy In-N-Out, mate! Cheers from SoCal!
The F1 videos are great, the best on CZcams. But these travel vlog's are just the absolute best...
Makes me want to travel.. But that's not easy atm for us West Aussies
Always great insight behind the scenes what photographers have to do
I’m Italian but I think you made a mistake with the gas price, it’s 2,99 usd a Gallon not a liter :)
Correct!
and a gallon is about 4 litres I believe
@@MIGBMWLOVER 4.5 L to a Gallon!
@@jeffster0224 so it's less than 1€/l?
I paid it 1,89€ in 🇫🇷💀
@@TonidinkaYT since a lot of gas is processed in the south it’s cheaper in the area. I’m the opposite side so we are about $.50 more per gallon than Texas. But yes, around $0.73 per liter is the average US price at the moment
Fascinating. Love the check out woman!
Congrats on 300K!! Wanted to get that in early
Cheers
The travel vlogs are my favourite content from kym
It’s so cool seeing you in Texas and seeing all the things I’m familiar with 😂👍🏻 can’t wait for the race!
This is the first race, where the time actually makes sense instead of being right when I or just before I wake up.
See you this weekend (hopefully)!! Welcome back to the States!
Love your photo's of the dancer, great work! 👍👍. 8:00 "everything is bigger in Texas! haha
Really love his vlogs.
Happy to see you in my home country!
Welcome to Austin!!! Bucees is always good with gas prices and clean restroom they also sell food!
Thank you for vlogging.
safe travels 🙂
Great to have you and the race in the same time zone as I am.
I spent my 4 years of college about an hour north of downtown Dallas, and have made that very drive to Austin myself! So cool to see you enjoying my old stomping ground. Wish I could come to this GP, maybe next year. Enjoy!!
Thanks will do.
Welcome back!
Going to my first Grand Prix this weekend! Hope I see you!
Excellent. Thank you.
Welcome to Austin, mate!
ahhhh my country❤️❤️
Austin resident of 7 years here... I'm so happy you are a fan of Bucc-ee's! Look up Czech Stop, their kolaches are also well worth the stop if you're heading north out of the city.
Hope to see you this weekend!
Austinite here too. I'm pretty sure people outside of south US don't even know what a kolache is. At least my cousins in the north east had no idea what they were.
Lol you would have enough content for a Lost and Found video of its own! Welcome to the US Kym!!
My wife flew TLV-IST-SIN last year when the world was closing down for COVID, although she was in economy, really enjoyed the service and the staff were super friendly.
Travel Vlogs are my favourite!!!
"everything is bigger in Texas"😂..I can't wait for the Race! Hope you enjoy your stay.
Wish this was longer
I cant wait for the GP this weekend. McLaren podium @ COTA
Welcome to the states!
Hi Kym, how are you?! I’m Brazilian and I love so much your videos and F1 ❤️😀
Welcome to the US!
Kym, everything is bigger in Texas. I love In-N-Out Burger. Always visit one in Las Vegas, don't have any east of the Mississippi River. Fun Fact for you.
Kym - I’m a Kiwi who’s lived in the states for 20yrs, and I 100% with your fandom of Bucee’s in Texas, just the best Gas Stations eh!? 👊🤠
"Little America" in Wyoming held the record for largest service station for years. Interesting origin story, too. But everything's bigger in Texas!
I love giving Kym a taste of my American culture!
Your schedule always looks so busy. Now I see you booked and did a shoot with a model too? As a former photographer myself I am impressed with your productivity and the fact that despite your busy schedule and workload you always manage to put out such high quality images and products. Welcome to Texas! I hope you have a great time here.
There’s a little time left for fun unfortunately but no complaints
@@KymIllman as long as you get some smoked brisket while you're here, kym!
As a Californian love the stop at In N Out
It’s now a ritual
Bucees! I live 5 mins from the west houston bucees, great gas prices and they're always crazy busy.
Buc-ees rocks! Hit the one in Daytona last month on way to Walt Disney World, and will hit it again this Friday on my way down to WDW. Can't wait until we get one in North Carolina.
It’s a destination in its own right
"Addiction is even more heartbreaking when you remember how bright the future was".
i enjoy your moving day vids i have figured
Is that Kelly Piquet behind you @ 1:40? Anyway welcome to the U.S.!
See you on COTA 🏎👏👏👏
Welcome to Texas Kym, enjoy your stay. Idk if your a fan of bbq or not but check out Terry Black's while you're down in Austin
Kym you broke my Texan heart by going to In-N-Out instead of Whataburger, but you scored some major redemption points by stopping at Buc-ee's. Enjoy Austin!! Check out Blacks for bbq or Veracruz for tacos if you get the chance :)
Whataburger is at the end of every highway ramp haha. I'm sure he stopped there too.
Seconded hard on Vera Cruz. Best salas in town. Dan's burgers next door is great too
Another great vid Kym, I was worried we wouldn’t be seeing your Istanbul to Austin journey. Looking forward to more pics and vids over the weekend. Thanks
love it
Next time you travel on I-35 between Austin & DFW, I'd highly recommend stopping just north of Waco (15 miles north) in the tiny town of West, Texas. Settled by Czech's in the 1800's, it's known for it's fantastic fruit kolaches! Travelers on I-35 know it well. Stop once, and you'll stop everytime!
Everything is bigger in Texas! Was hoping you'd catch a Nascar race near dallas
Bienvenido a América Kim
mmm 8:06 "sliced brisket" drink machine.
Ballerina photos ph-antastic. It's been a number of years since I vacationed and traveled around Texas and never came across Buc-ee's. You learn something new every day. How in the name of gawd is there a requirement for 112 gas pumps at one gas station. Only in America. I wonder how many fuel tankers deliver on a daily basis.
And they were all in use
Austin - enjoy the music - see if Eric Tessmer is playing - incredible guitarist
Ok Kym, now most all your other travel videos you comment on your cabs, rental cars, drive times and road conditions yet not a word about them in America. I miss your international perspective on these extra travel nuances. Love your videos, welcome to America and Hello from Denver, Colorado! Enjoy Texas and DO, by all means, get yourself some proper Texas BBQ brisket, ribs, etc., and not just some fast food BBQ joint. A true culinary delight when it's right! 👍
6:27 proud
Welcome to Texas! You should definitely head through the German towns and Texas Hill Country to Houston & Galveston after you're finished in Austin. You're in Whataburger territory now, which has a bigger menu than In-N-Out and is usually open 24 hours. Houston is the 4th biggest city and the most diverse population in America.
Literally, they have one of everything there. The biggest Buc-ees is in New Braunfels, though the one in Texas City isn't too small also. Visit NASA and see the Texas Gulf Coast. Home to the worst hurricane in American history and the worst industrial accident, the Texas City Disaster too! This is a great time of the year to visit here. Come see Galveston before the world's biggest biker rally shows up in early November. You'll eat good here.
Might go to Houston. Unsure though
Honestly, if he's in Austin, P. Terry's is the best burgers! Similar to In-and-Out in style, too
I'll actually be staying nearby closer to I-35 lol.
Hopefully I catch a glimpse of you and are able to say hi.
so about 79 US cents per litre , current price is Sydney is AU$1.50-$1.60 a litre (US$1.10 to $1.20)
Hey!! We are Wacko in Waco here. If I'd known, I would have done a meet-up. Hope the weather is good for the race. Just about perfect right now. Monday evening. 10/18/21
I enjoy passport stamps, but was disappointed to find out Australia didn’t stamp passports either when I visited in 2017. Canada doesn’t stamp either, I’ve never had one when crossing by land from New York
It’s strange isn’t it
The fact that I know he was at the Temple Buc-ee's location is sad and also very much proof that I am a Texan
Welcome to Texas!
Dallas gang !
Stayed at that exact hotel during my one and only time in Austin...amazing city
Very quiet down the main street tonight though
Lots of cool shops and window shopping by taking a hike up and down South Congress... You might be able to catch some great music at Continental Club, too
i dont know that if i traveled as much as you do with that many things, that I would lose and misplace things that often LOL i dare people to count how many times youve lost/misplaced things and a bonus point for the time a stranger has returned it to you which its surprisingly I think most of the time which makes me have faith in people's kindness in this world haha
Enjoy your stay in Texas.
You need to go to Franklin's Barbeque in Downtown Austin
Welcome to the 🇺🇸
Kym you must eat at Franklin BBQ! To die for! If you cant make that, there are plenty of TX style bbq joints everywhere!
Not sure I’m gonna have time but thanks for the suggestion
@@KymIllman thanks for the response! Your work is mega! Enjoy your stay
SALUDOS DESDE SONORE MEXICO, ME GUSTARIAVER LA CARRERA DE AUSTIN , PERO POR COSAS DEL COVID AUN NO PUEDO PASAR A EU SNIF
Kym you should definitely try Whataburger while you’re in Texas. In my opinion better than in and out. Try the Patty Melt!
March 2020 after Covid hit and demand dropped, gasoline here in Texas fell to around $1.39 a gallon. My Kroger's grocery store card gave me $1.25 off per gallon, so it was something crazy like 14 cents a gallon. I filled up my 11 gallon car for about $1.50.
That’s a deal
Gallon not liter hahahaha love the video again
In n out!!!!
Hi Kym. Are countries asking for a vaccination certificate or a current COVID test result or both?
I endurance raced at COTA this weekend and this vid popped up. No real travel to Austin, its just 140 miles from my front door.
Good to hear.
Buc-ee's, my favorite stop on the road! Have yet to try In-N-Out for a burger. I just heard that Danica Patrick will be joining Sky Sports F1 for the race broadcast.
Thanks for the tip about Danica.
Next time you're at In-n-Out ask for your burger "Animal Style" 10/10 would recommend if you haven't.
I lived in Austin for one year, what a nice place. Please try the barbecue 🍖
Saw the pump in kara and Nate’s vidro
Tell me more?
You counted the pumps right. It’s just that the are counted twice because of each side.
Great video Kym! Is it correct that you’re allowed to shoot in the paddock again this weekend?
Yes
Can't wait for the photos
Try your in n our burger Animal Style. Welcome back to the US KYM
Hello Kym Illman I have a question!! What do you use for SIM while you travel often??
