I like the content of all the videos and look forward to each one, but I am also attentive to the details, for example: the extreme cleanliness of the lathe and the work environment👍👍👍
Great job as always, truly a pleasure to watch you do your work. I admire your skill and techniques. Thanks
This is a real educational video. I have been building and designing “things” for people since 1966, and I tip my hat to you folks. Good equipment and good brains!
That's a super cool what-chya-ma-callit.
It never gets old I love it
Excellent job you do some amazing work. 👍👍👍
excellent content - great photography
Excellent work 👍👍👍 . Thank you for sharing. Be safe
Thank you for posting this video.
My man just turned his lathe into a mill. Nice one!
It's always good to have the right tools to do the job.
Que calidad impresionante la destreza excelente trabajo!!!
Nice video mate . Keep going 👍👌
Good video!
wow mister thanks! l have china mini lathe modified. Some parts from little machine shop. l like watching, even l can learn few tips.
Brilliant mate!
Perfect working
I love watching these. I always find some new idea I'd never think of on my own.
Always, such magnificent skill.
Thank you

Yeah - dude is brilliant!!!
Good job
Bravo. Es un placer ver ese trabajo. 👏👏👏
EXCELENTE PROCEDIMIENTO, Y MAGNIFICO TRABAJO. SIGA COSECHANDO EXITO. ATTE. MOY.
Estou aprendendo muito com vc.
Well done....always pushing the limit of what can be done with a lathe...
good taste in chucks..
It's nice to watch, but still the video is very long. And I still don't understand what the purpose of this work .
the cross slide. I've always wondered why yours is flat and plain while the lathe I have , has two T-slots for mounting different things.
wow cnc hands ^^ amazing
Muito caprichoso, parabéns.
Anata-ha tokui senban operēta desu. Hello, great job You did.
I really like your ideas. You show great how you can do without a milling machine, but it is quite troublesome and a lot of work. When will you buy a milling machine? I have been subscribing for a long time. :) Greetings from Poland
cool
super
Trabalho perfeito
Работа не о чëм...
magnificent
Love watching your work. May I ask what the clear cutting oil is you use please.
Thank you for watching.
The cutting oil used is Castrol Variocut C210.
Did prices of metal go up in your area too?
Thank you for watching.
Yes. Even in Japan, prices of iron and other products have increased by more than 20% from January of this year to today.
Is this what you made a lathe spider for machining soft jaws?
Thank you for watching.
This is a part of the handle.
😮
👍 👍 👍 👍
why use alu soft jaws to clamp raw bar stock and at 6:40 remove the alu soft jaw to clamp finished part?
Thank you for watching.
The jaws of this chuck are hardened. I received several comments pointing out that if you grab a material with a hard and uneven oxide film, fine scratches and dents will occur and the accuracy will drop, so I decided to put aluminum in between.
New Land - ALBIS".
Hello. Great work! Could you please tell what is the insert you are using at 2.15? it looks like it can take small depth of cut on mild steel and leave decent finish.
Thank you for watching.
It is Sumitomo Electric's TNMG160402N-FA T1500A.
@@SwaplampJapan Sir, this channel is great and very informative, so much machining operations, and subbed.
Sir, what is the proper steps to take on eliminating taper while performing outside diameter finish turning on a part that is sticking out 150 millimeters, without the center.
Is the only way to adjust the headstock, is there no other way?
Kind regards, sir.
@@adamgroening Thank you for watching.
The degree of difficulty varies depending on the diameter and material, but it is necessary to use a mobile steady rest or tilt the compound tool rest and process it in several steps.
Alternatively, sharpen the tool very sharply to reduce cutting resistance and minimize bending of the material.
@@SwaplampJapan Thank you sir, for the reply.
The material is not any of the exotic materials, it is c45 steel and it's machineablity is excellent.
The finishing cut process is done in three steps to achieve uniform tool pressure with each time taking off 0.12 millimeters.
And still there is a difference in the diameter in the front (250.75 millimeters) and in the back (250.90 millimeters), this is a unwanted taper of 0.15 millimeters.
The parts required is 250.75 millimeters on the outside diameter with a length of 150 millimeters.
What I would like to do is to saw off material at 300+ millimeters so I rough and finish turn the parts over the length of 150 millimeters of the part, then do to the other side the exact same thing, and then saw the part off in the middle, and complete the part only by facing the part to the length of 150 millimeters.
So, this is the reason.
The steady rest will not allow me to turn the whole length of 150 millimeters, sir.
The tool post compound rest will just follow the bedways even if I for example tilt it a little bit and will still get the taper, is this right?
Kind regards, sir.
@@adamgroening Thanks for the detailed explanation.
If it is a manual lathe, I thought that if I tilted the cross slide and fed it by hand, it would be straight.
Is it correct that the front is the headstock side and the rear is the tailstock side?
If the lathe spindle bearing preload is small and the spindle is tilted under load, or if the jaws of the chuck are not in contact with the material at a sufficient distance, the material may move against the tool during finish cutting. You can check with a dial gauge whether it is escaping to the side or the top.
With old machines that have frequently shaved castings, the bed near the headstock may be worn unevenly and become tapered.
Excellent video again !. What lathe is it please ?. Regards from the UK.
Thank you for watching.
The model is Wasino's LR-55A.
This lathe was designed by a Japanese brand called Washino about 60 years ago.
This lathe was manufactured by a company called Amada, taking over the business from Wasino.
Currently, Mori Seiki takes over the business and manufactures and sells it.
How much does it cost for this machine ?
Thank you for watching.
This lathe is a custom reprint and was purchased 20 years ago for 7,600,000 yen.
When it was mass-produced 30 years ago, it could be purchased for about 3,500,000 yen.
In the current second-hand market, it is sold at about 20% of the price when it is new.
Fantastic, what is it?
Thank you for watching.
This is a part of the handle that adjusts the spring tension of the arm-type pitching machine.
Could you tell me the name of yellow tool (6:17)? Thank you!
Thank you for watching.
This is a tube reamer of the model TRUSCO TPS-150SK.
I do not get it how indexing was done
Thank you for watching.
The production of the indexing device is in this video.

In what way were the flats referenced? 🤔
A square resting on the ways up against the hex ? 🤔
So, what is it for?
Thank you for watching.
This is a part of the handle that adjusts the spring tension of the arm-type pitching machine.

Brother, did you ever break a tool?
Thank you for watching.
I have broken the cutting tool several times.
@@SwaplampJapan you need to fasten your video, so i wonder if it was slow cut and you will not break any of those 😄
Bro I'm milling machine operator .in india

nice job but please change the music.
I like the music, I find it relaxing... 🤷♂️😅
Ez az alak még életében nem esztergált
