旋盤を使ってアルミを17面体のシングルカットに加工しました。
切削によりできた細かな凹凸が回折格子（かいせつこうし）と同様に作用するので見る角度によって虹色に変化します。
正式な加工方法ではありませんが、アイデアの種にしていただけたら幸いです。
セットスクリュー（止めネジ）は治具の持ち替え時のズレ防止程度にお考え下さい。
バイト押さえのボルトで締め付けることで治具が変形してワークを把握しています。

Using a lathe, aluminum was processed into a single cut of 17 sides.
The fine irregularities created by cutting act like a diffraction grating, so it changes to a rainbow color depending on the viewing angle.
It is not an official processing method, but I hope you can use it as a seed for your ideas.
Please consider the set screw to prevent misalignment when holding the jig.
The work piece is grasped as the jig is deformed by tightening with the bolt for holding the cutting tool.

I love this thanks! Too bad I didn't have a tool post like this for my lathe when I was a kid . When I was seven or eight I used to take scraps of clear polycarb plastic and make large plastic gems to give to all the girls that lived in my neighborhood. This would have been so much more fun and quick as opposed to doing it with files and a disk sander. I love tbe concave facets produced by the key way cutter.

You did such a good job lapping the top now the rest of the surfaces look terrible, kinda forced yourself into lapping them all at that point, also you should have put corresponding flats at each angle around the OD,

6:03でセンター位置ズレてるのは削りすぎかな？それとも取り付け誤差？
治具に刃物固定ネジの跡がついて膨れてそうだからネジ側に抑え金入れるようにした方が良さそうですね。
普通旋盤2級まで取ったけどこんな加工方法知らない…。
