- Text masking, in its essence, involves using text as a mask to reveal a specific part of an image or to create interesting, dynamic compositions where the image and text merge seamlessly. However, the "crazy" twist to this technique introduces unexpected elements-be it through the use of bold, unconventional fonts, the integration of motion, or the blending of textures that defy the norm.

*Master!*
Howdy buddy let me kick back and watch your video now
Wow pretty amazing that would take me months to learn all that
You could increase the scale of the backround-removed-film by a few points so that the slightly larger 'you' covers the 'you' with the halo.
😮. Pretty cool Harvey I'm going to have to watch this on my big screen rather than my phone is too hard to see on my phone.
I must get back to your video now I watch it on the phone now and on the big screen tomorrow
Gonna watch this video a couple more times.....a lot to take in...then I will try it. I love your tutorials! You always have different teachings that others don't show. You are a permanent tourist of Helsinki..... which tells me you were born elsewhere. Where were you born and how did you happen to end up in Helsinki? I am in the USA (living in Pennsylvania - born in Upstate New York.)
Born in England, moved to Finland when I was 24. Met a Finnish girl in Greece and followed her home. Lol.
@@pmhelsinki And just like a cute puppy dog.... she kept you ! I did a text masking video.... and it worked. I love the behind the object scroll feature! Thanks Again for continuing your tutorials!
Ha ha, she did. Behind object is sooo cool right, and if you keyframe the clip it would make a great intro.
I was sort of non plussed by this whole feature runthrough in terms of how practical it is. It's only applicable in a very narrow application set, i.e. a relatively short clip that would be useful to insert somewhere in a larger content group with a prominent object directly in the middle of the screen.
The background remover looked kind of interesting.
I would like to see how you made your Permanent Tourist intro sequence, the one with the cell phone, camera and laptop as a fixed image with the title dynamics displaying on the lower right quadrant.
I agree, it does have a short cycle maybe to use as an intro, to make it more usuable in a bigger context I would use Masking Designer as that gives me more options to move the text. I have been contemplating doing a tutorial on how that is done, Now that Photodirector tutorials are on hold, 'Waiting for spring'. maybe soon, keep watching.
