- Wrath of the Soul Forge King is here and with it comes the horrifying Vashtorr the Arkifane. A daemonic vessel inhabiting a mechanical frame and just for kicks, a skin suit stretched over it.
He faces off against the Dark Angels in this box and it was very kindly sent to me early by Games Workshop to build and paint for all of you so hooray! In other news the Grand Army of Chaos grows once more... Soon I shall launch my Contrast Crusade across the Galaxy!

Excellent. I’m currently using both of your Demon Prince tutorials to inform my own DP painting, and then will do Angron heavily based on yours. Looks like Vashtor is next. Your choices seem to fit really nicely with my tastes.

This is incredible. The skin recipe is easily trabnsfeered to a lot of demonic/undead creatures, and the metallics are just dazzling!

The skin looks completely different in the final shot compared to the final step you show on how to paint it. A lot more darker and paler in the end where as in the middle of the video It's more purpleish.

How do you paint the inner parts of the exhausts and stuff on his back? Very tricky to get in there once it's assembled

Glad to finally see a proper tutorial to paint this mini. GW is becoming shit at providing good ones now...the vashtor vid they made was beyond disgusting. I am not a great painter but I'd rather have a full vid with many techniques used (gives inspiration and advices) to improve... than them telling to use contrast everywhere even though it looks bad!
Why does mine look way darker after I applied the Agrax Earthshade step. It's many many shades darker and almost muddies out all the work I did following this.
