- Join me, Kenny of All Trades, as I share the story of how I discovered a dispersed campsite deep in the forest. From setting up my truck camper to enjoying the beauty of dry camping, this adventure is one you won't want to miss! Subscribe for more outdoor exploration.
This weekend was really relaxing. This was the first time in a long time where I explored without looking through the lens of the camera. I needed a little break and went searching for respite in the woods.
I headed out to find this spot late on Friday. I was so excited to find another remote campsite in Northen Minnesota. This place was beautiful. It was warm, a light breeze, there was no bugs, and the setting sun was beautiful. I captured a few scenes Friday night but didn't feel like talking. So, Toby and I explored alone. I hope when you watch the first 30 seconds of this video you will see what I mean.
Saturday morning, I woke up refreshed and ready to press record. I was able to accomplish everything I set out to do this weekend, minus some fishing. I had a great time exploring the forest roads and finding an old gravel pit. Toby and I had a wonderful time walking through woods hearing all the birds. Spring is definitely upon us.
Mandi and I will be taking a few days to enjoy sitting on the shores of Lake Superior this coming weekend. I won't be able to make a camping video for Tuesday, but If there's anything you would like to see in a video that I can record after work this week, please let me know.
Thanks for hanging out with Toby and me this weekend. I hope you had a good time and enjoyed the views.
Kenny - Zábava
Hey Kenny! My wife just said she loves you! I think I’m cooked! You are a good man for not wanting to accept help with your videos but remember you are bringing a lot of happiness to people and that is your greatest strength! We are a part of the Kenny and Toby family and that means so much to us! Have a great week buddy!
Thanks so much! I really do appreciate that. 🙏
You are like the Bob Ross of camping
You knowing somebody is there before they know that you know somebody is there. Very wise words!
As a 74 yo female who frequently camps alone with pets in remote locations, I always appreciate ways to give me an edge over intruders. My dog is amazing, but those motion detectors are an excellent idea.
again, well done brother. and say...cash those checks, you ARE earning them. You are providing us all with a little solitude every week, and we cant repay you enough for that.
Hi Dad! I enjoyed your video this week, Toby is so cute. They always bring a smile to my face. Keep up the great work, and know that your videos make a positive impact on so many people, including me!
Love this and love you Dell❤
DELLER'S!!! Thank you so much! I didn't think you watched my videos!!!. Sleep tight, my beautiful girl. I love you to the moon and back.
Amazing 💜🙏💜
Hi Kenny. I really enjoy your videos every Tuesday. If you want to set up to allow donations, like the Buy-Me-A-Coffee type stuff (small amounts), you really should do it and not feel embarrassed or timid. Every week you are creating something for our enjoyment. It is art and it is entertainment, and you are sharing advice, wisdom, and experiences that benefit us all in some way or another. There are so many other CZcamsrs out there who offer memberships and patreon channels and Venmo / PayPal addresses. You can certainly think about what value you are providing that would merit a donation, and let us know what this is in your inimitable manner. You don't want to get burned out, and that might happen if you feel a financial pinch. So think about it. I hope you will consider what I am expressing here as great appreciation for your work. Thank you and keep on keepin' on. I look forward to seeing your adventures with Mandy next week.
@KennyofAllTrades This persons says it well I second it.
I really appreciate that. You pretty much got it spot on. I'm too embarrassed to ask for help.
Agreed! Well said!
Kenny, you deserve donations! You keep us all entertained and happy looking for the next video!
@@KennyOfAllTrades along the lines of what everdaypresent444 was saying......your ability to continue going to these places (I am a Minnesota girl) and perfect your set up, helps and encourages me to want to do more of that in my very own state. I am heading to Montana for work in May and will camp a couple nights along the way (I think) and I am learning those skills and getting that courage from you. Whatever you decide, will be fine. AND, in the event you do offer a PayPal option, I'd donate. :)
❤❤❤ Thank you Kenny and Toby for another great adventure! You are so appreciated. Please don't let the negative comments get you down. You are a great blessing to me and my spouse. We look forward to your videos every week with joyful anticipation. We are elderly and unable to travel, so we do our traveling with you and Toby. I really enjoy watching your cooking, your campfire 🔥 talks, and your showing us the beautiful area in which you are staying. 😊
Me too im always sick so you help me go on mini vacations
I really appreciate you following along on the weekend adventures.
Kenny i think but not sure, but another youtuber told us about you but i cannot remember if it was the vety nice guy who unfortunately lost his wife?..the funny thing is, he also picks up trash along the way of his camping areas. Perhaps someone on here can remind us of who he is, oh and i thjnk he recently lost one if his buddies, he called "neighbor?..he is also such a vety good person, just handed out bad circumstances..oh just remembered his name is "Steve Wahl"@@KennyOfAllTrades
doing a review on products is a great way to educate before viewers buy something
You know I used to watch Kenny because he was laid back. Now I watch it for Toby lol
(chant) Kenny, Kenny, ... he's our man ... if no one else can do it, Kenny can !!! Kenny and Tilly and Toby going alone, on a trip as a rolling stone. Camping, and fishing, cold and wet, inside warm and dry, who else is jealous of Kenny ? ... me, me AYE !!!!
I like your use of the motion detectors....even a boy scout knows to be prepared...an ounce of preparation is worth a pound of cure!
Kenny...you are not apologizing for a well deserved break with your girlfriend, are you??? Don't ever do that. We, your fans, will always get that....and a tour video fill-in is fine with us! We love Toby's lawn chair!!! Our rottie/lab has her own too! Lol.
My husband says..," You need MERCH KENNY" he wants a kenny of all trades t shirt and coffee mug lol. Have fun on the north shore next weekend...enjoy and relax. Our backyard!
I definitely have to think about a merchandise line. I have a few ideas. I just don't want to have the same stuff as everyone else. We have a lot of resorts in my area. I notice in their gift shops that they all have custom hats, hoodies, shirts, and mugs that look super nice. It's actually embroidered logos, not screen prints that fall apart in the wash. Their mugs are quality... not a basic 2 dollar mass-produced coffee cup with a logo that resembles so many other channels because everyone uses the same 3 or 4 merchandise companies on CZcams. I'll get something going eventually. I just don't want to jump on Vista Print and get a merchandise lineup for the sake of selling stuff. Maybe by this fall, I will have a custom embroidered wool beanie your husband can pick up.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Would love your logo on some thingss. "Be Kind" items. And love your qyote of not letting life escape you!
People want to help you Kenny. You and Toby bring us much joy
Kenny your integrity is uncommon, thank you. REFRESHING 😊
When I first saw the two chairs I thought Mandy was with you, funny that Toby gets his own chair. Another beautiful spot, thanks as always for sharing and doing what you do 🎅
Your will to get out and bring us these videos every week is amazing. Tuesday evening is one of the highlights of my week, but if ya wanna stay home and take a good nap some weekend, we’ll understand
Dear Kenny; don’t even think about it!
@@danielwright9418😂
I agree. And you're an honorable man, Kenny. Your subscribers appreciate the effort you put into these videos. Tuesday nights after I get home from work are enjoyable.
Kenny, you are a class act! Everybody should have a "Kenny" in their lives. Wonderful content - keep them coming.
It looks like maybe spring has arrived to your neck of the wood. A bike almost seems like a necessary. Happy to see a video today and to see how much Toby is growing. And I really respect that you aren’t asking for money but are just kind enough to let us tag along on your weekends.
What I like about your channel is the first thing you do is clean it up well done and thank you!
Toby is a good looking dog. Please keep him. I’m so used to seeing him with you.
People who question your safety and awareness habits are the ones who have bad things happen and then wonder "why me?" I just came upon your channel and immediately subscribed. I love seeing the nature of northern Minnesota. I can't get up there from Illinois like when I was young. Thank you for sharing the beauty with me.😊
Skyrocketed to the top of my list of favourite CZcamsrs. Every week your videos make me smile. My wife and I had been discussing purchasing a camper for some time and we pulled the trigger this week with pick up scheduled for next weekend. I have you to thank (blame…haha).
Patreon would be an excellent solution for those of us who would like to contribute to your channel. It is the tip jar of the internet. A couple of bucks here and there will go a long way. I hope you decide to create a profile with it.
Thanks for the chill videos every week. Look forward to Tuesdays every week now! See you down the road!
So cool! I hope you have fun in the camper. I find that I'm more rested and ready for a new week after spending a night or two in the woods. Be safe out there and have fun!
Enjoy your camper! We love ours!
Great video. A sidecar, helmet and goggles for Toby would be cool. Born to be wild.
😂 Just glanced at this page & noticed this. Can't help but laugh.
People don't realize how much work and how much it cost to do what you do each week thank you ❤
It's definitely a labor of love! Thank you for recognizing the effort.
I love reviews of good camping gear! And I think you should definitely be cashing any checks you get. People just want to show you their appreciation for all you do for our entertainment! That money will help ensure that you can keep doing it!
Been looking forward to your video all day.
You could get a trailer for Toby to go along with you on longer rides.
I think that would be so cool. It's going to be garage sale season soon. I will be keeping my eyes open for a small pool behind trailer to take Toby on the trails with.
Love your voice, it's so relaxing and calming.
I have a Rad rover 2018 and swear by it! It has almost 12,000 Miles on it and still going Strong. I love it! And now I've Had the Rover Plus 6 for just about a year and a half, O it's a step through and have just over 4500 miles on it and still going strong, love these things, I'm 65 soon and it gets me around so cool. Thanks and thumbs Up!...
Thank you Kenny! I grew up in the forests but now live in the desert. Miss those trees and fall leaves! And WATER. 😊
Kenny I love your heart and I appreciate all that you do for us 🙏 Thankyou 🙏
Kenny, you do you, cuz you do it best. Ignore the nay sayers. So glad i found your channel!
We all wish Toby a speedy recovery.
What a beautiful opening shot
That’s calendar material ❤
And don't worry about forgetting your tackle box Kenny, there's no 🐟 in that lake anyway. 😜
There are only fish in that lake Monday’s thru Friday’s; they head to other lakes for the weekends
Time for some John-meatballs or -meatloaf (ala dutch oven). 80/20 beef/tallow fat (3 parts), pork/lard fat (1 part). Beef strong and dry meat flavor, hard meat, tallow picks up strong meat flavors. Pork sweet and juicy meat flavor, soft meat, lard picks up mild meat flavors. Depending on volume made, whole egg whisked and poured into meat/meat mix and blended (binding proteins). Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh basil plucked (little fingernail size) and put into meat balls, along with minimal anise/fennel seed (pizza flavor). Dutch oven, can bake and eat fresh, or leave overnight and still massively juicy and tender fall apart meat. Quasi Italian flavor. If you want sage, tarragon, thyme, add sparingly. Meatloaf is awesome for later sandwiches or just cutting a slab off the meatloaf and munching. Toby won't be turning his nose away from this !!! For further binding, put a SMALL portion of panko put into meatballs (or roll in egg wash and panko coating) the meat ball or meatloaf outer surface for a Maillard reaction of toasted nutty and caramel bread flavors in the meat, holding in the juices and flavors. Enjoy !
That sounds amazing!
I watched last week’s vid yesterday. All I could think about at work today was the fact that your new vid dropped this afternoon! I’m hooked! Music is simply fantastic. Editing is superb. Content is spot on. Another awesome production! Crap, now I’ll have to wait 7 days for another great vid. Great job Kenny!
I really appreciate the compliment!
Kenny, I enjoyed your outing last week and am currently enjoying your newest one.
Your woods and campsites are a lot like ours in Penna. We have lived in Montana since 1988 and we didn't camp in Penna when we lived there. All us boys, there were 5 of us then, were always in the woods or fishing the lakes or streams. Or hunting.
my wife and I, Pick, yeah that's her name, (Nick name but she only answers to that) love camping, but she's not one to sit and watch videos of them like I am. One evening, while watching one of your videos about 2 or 3 months ago I yelled, "Pick, come in here and watch Kenny for a minute".She walked into the bedroom and asked"what?" I said "watch Kenny for a minute".. I forget whet you were exclaiming about , but you came out with one of your, "Holy Buckets..!!" She Laughed.. You and her are the only two people I, or our friends and family have ever heard use that saying. She does it all the time. We both had a good laugh at that.
July the 1st, Pick and I will have been married for 52 years and together for 53..
Not too bad for a couple of kids from the woods and hills of Pennsylvania..
Stay safe and take care...Good Camping..
Norm..
This was such an awesome comment. You guys should be so proud, 52 years is amazing!
I'm not sure of where I picked up that saying. It's one of those things that just comes out. I really never thought about it... but I don't know of anyone who says it either. Thank you for your story.
He is getting to be a big boy. He's a nice-looking dog.
Kenney we want to help so you keep
Making the videos. Let us help so you don’t go away.
You are doing an awesome job showing support by watching and commenting on the videos. I really appreciate that.
Time for a front pack, Toby helmet and goggles, and Ebiking with my boy down the road - smelling the breeze, enjoying the scenery, bonding with my bud, and having a moment with Nature, God, and good times ...
My dad’s moto: no reason to be scared if you are always prepared!
I have no problem with any vids you put out. I appreciate your honest reviews, so even those are fine. If that gets you free gear, then I'm all for it. Just keep doing what you love, and your subscribers will keep growing.
Thank you Kenny & Toby, for taking us along again. Love my Tuesdays with Kenny & Toby..
Great video kenny.look forward to every Tuesday to watch yours an tiny cabin life videos.be safe
I hope you never get tired of making these. I find them relaxing, and love watching them.
I'm happy to hear you and Mandy are going to get away for some downtime, and it's fine that you don't sling a camera, we totally understand. You have enough videos we can check the list to see if there's any we've missed. Toby will do so much better being neutered. It will also keep him healthier and reduce his chances of problems as he gets older. Always happy to see your video on Tuesday. Have a great, safe time off, GOD bless
Thank you very much.
Kenny, I honestly don’t know how you do it. I have a really small channel and also work 40-50 hrs a week and don’t have much time to edit and post videos. So much more goes into it than most people think. I enjoy your videos. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Take care.
Thank you, that means a lot. It's nice to get acknowledgment from someone who knows the struggle.
Kenny of All Trades fire starters! I’d buy some RIGHT NOW!
How do you make your fire started
Please more footage of Toby he's a star love you're show education and full of beautiful Nature
Awww Toby.
I think making a highlight reel would be awesome, from the beginning to the current day. Like a list of your best experiences truck camping. Well that's our vote, no matter what you just enjoy time with Mandy and we send blessings to you and yours.
That is a great idea. I could put together a recap video.Sharing all my experiences over the last few years. I think that could be really fun.
Best videos on CZcams. Very calming and relaxing.
Glad you think so!
It's raining outside. I've been waiting for your video all day. Great to see you and Toby.
Always be aware of your surroundings, nothing wrong with that! Hey, I noticed that Toby has a new coat almost every week. You're not spoiling him by any chance ru? 😅 He deserves it! Great job again Kenny! Have a nice weekend off with Mandi, Tilly & Tobi.
Hello again from SW Pennsylvania ❤️.. My husband actually looks for your video every Tues now!! Mr I hate camping, 😂. He loves watching you and Toby's adventures ❤. That's quite the compliment. I love it too. Hello to Mandy too ☺️
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words!
More target practice, "this guy couldn't hit the broad side of a barn" 🤣🤠
Great videos calm and cool no bs
Thanks.
I love the new effects. I love what you said about life❤️
Awesome video. Thanks for all you do to make these videos to share with all of us. You are much appreciated.
Yay that you and Mandy are getting a weekend together.
You do earn those checks. If people want to contribute to the channel you should let them. You provide a valuable form of entertainment. Many CZcamsrs use Patreon or the have their own webpage that people can pay through.
Another option do hats and t-shirts, and mugs with your catch phrase, that you say at the end of every video. To make it easier to manage have two weeks of pre orders and then you order just what has been prepaid for and you can have packing and shipping the items be a video. Get family to help. You could do orders once a year. Twice a year or quarterly.
Maybe have Toby or the truck and camper image on it too.
Thank you for the suggestions!
Working 5 days a week. Then doing a video.
I can’t imagine the work it takes. Especially the time it takes. Do a review and reap the benefits.
Yeah yeah the wind bad fishing lol
Kudos Brother
2:13 that's a happy pippie!
I love places like these also
Hey Kenny I am a somewhat new viewer, I found you through Jack w/ Little Cabin Life. I was watching a older video earlier where you worked at the sugar beet fields. I know you have some videos where you repair the camper, do you have any videos showing the process of loading and unloading the camper into the truck? If not, some viewers might enjoy seeing what it takes and how long it takes. Great videos. Thanks
Great suggestions! I don't have that. I will have to show the process.
Thanks again.
Thank you for another video Kenny.
Here's a video idea for you if you don't mind.
Go on a road trip with Mandy and Toby for few days if you can,We'll watch your adventures even if it's more than hour long 👍
That would be a blast!
Thanks Kenny & Toby for bringing all of us along. You are truly a wonderful person, & Toby is a great little guy .
Toby is figuring out life , like you said your boy is growing up. So proud you & Mandi will have some time together. Have a great time. Thank you & Toby for all you do. Say hello to Mandi & Tilly.
I like the reviews. Cash the check, Kenny. You entertain us all
Great video as always!
Thanks again, Kenny. Have a great week. God bless you
Yeah your right the wind would have pushed your float toward shore and you would have to recast often😂
Great minds think alike!
Thanks for another great, relaxing video! I was actually talking about your videos yesterday at a conference in St. Cloud with a guy that lives in Ely. I can't wait to bring my camper back on my next visit to northern MN. Have a great time with Mandy and we all know that you need to have a life away from the camera. We will be here to support you regardless of how many videos you're able to crank out.
I appreciate you mentioning the channel to others. That's the best way to show support for the channel.
Another great weekend with Kenny & Toby ! 😁👍
Kenny thanks for this weeks video.
❤ chippewa!! Thank you for all you do, Kenny 😊
Thank you.
I have to admit, that would be a first time I’ve ever seen that!
Great video as always. That campsite looks like the one a buddy of mine and I ended up at a number of years back. We were duck hunting out of the third river flowage and thought we would not have any problem camping right at the boat launch since it was toward the end of October and there weren't any people around. We were wrong. At about 1am we had a knock on the camper door, it was a park service ranger. He politely told us it was not allowed to camp at the boat launch (which we already knew) and directed us to one of the dispersed sites, he wished us luck in the morning and we both went our separate ways.
Appreciate you Kenny!
You do a great job Kenny love the videos thank you!
Another awesome video!
Hi Kenny, great video, always like the way you "show" yourself outside. I can see why you enjoyed the beginning of your stay in silence, what a beautiful spot to do some self reflection. I watch all your videos, but your audience has grown so much with many, many comments, I figure you barely have time to read them all and I know you do. So, you might not see a comment from me every week, but know that I always watch and enjoy! Funny how your little boy is growing up, and that's exactly what happens, enjoy his puppyhood for as long as you can. Hope you and Mandi enjoy your time together and we'll see you on down the road.
Thank you so much! Mandi also reads the comments every week. We definitely notice the folks who have been with the channel for a long time. Sometimes, we will even say to each other."I've noticed .......hasent comnented in a few weeks. I hope everything is OK with them. "
It's cool how much of a community or family we've all become.
Hey, Kenny! Happy to hear you and Mandi are gonna get a bit of downtime together. Surely well deserved! Since you offered to take content suggestions, I would ask for an overview on how you season your cast iron and also how you stream your "The Office" episodes, e.g. via a hotspot, your phone using DEX, or whatever? Thx for bringing us along with your and Tobys' exploits! 😊👍 Also, FWIW, I would gladly contribute via a Patreon or Buy Me a Cup of Coffee campaign for you and your channel.
Thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely talk about that.
Wow wow wow. Amazing video. Thank you for the consistent weekly videos. A lot of us I believe are dependent on your videos to help us get through the week.
I like the review helps to see whats out there
Always great to see another dispersed campsite in Minnesota! Glad the rain held off.
Look forward to Tuesdays to watch Kenny and Toby. Kenny you appear to be a very good cook!!
It's Tuesday ty kenny n toby great videos
Shutting the door on the camper keeps the 'skeetos out too! :)
I'm keeping it open for Toby right now. I adopted him a few months back, i'm working with him to get over his fear of the dark. I leave the door open so he can come and go as he pleases. Soon, we will have a hatch, and the mosquitoes swarms will block the sunlight. Then the door will be closed for sure.
Great idea about the motion sensers really like that.
Love the quote at the start...... awesome video as usual. "It's all adventure"
You and Mandi enjoy your weekend together, and I’ll be here waiting for you to return with another video.🙂
Awesome video
Hi Kenny, those new tires on the bike look awesome. I think the speed trade-off is well worth the benefits of the wider tires considering some of the paths you travel on.
Got a good laugh when I saw your supper. 49 years ago my Senior year in high school our basketball team went to State. Five of my buddies and me loaded up in Dad's station wagon and drove across State to the tournament. We had a free evening and my buddies and me went to see the "Exorcist" it was "The Movie" at the time. Wouldn't you know the very next week the school cafeteria had ham/split pea soup for lunch..............six bowls got dumped LoL. Interesting one of the Deputies I worked with had actually been on a religious retreat in the house where the real exorcism took place in St Louis.
I always enjoy the reviews that you do on the equipment you use. You do a great job of explaining and demonstrating the items use and how it worked for you. You're someone who's practical minded and trustworthy.............not in it for the dollar and that's a lot more than can be said for a lot of CZcamsrs.
Would love to see sometime and have you explain the inverter set-up in your truck and your power sources in the camper.
Kenny, Thank You for all the time and hard work you put into your video's. They mean so much to so many.
Rick
Explore Minnesota. It isnt just a slogan. Best to you, Mandi & Toby.
Thanks again.
Hi Kenny, I love your videos! My hubby and I warch them regularly but me mostly. Glad to see Toby has his own chair! We tried those firestarters last weekend. All i can say is WOW! Thanks for sharing your adventures! Gotta love Minnesota!
Awesome! I'm glad to hear they worked well. Thanks for watching.
Perfect video after nightshift.thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I watch your videos on TV every day. I find all your videos🛻🏡💚 beautifulI✨ really like the way you go camping and you also take very good care of your dog 🐾💎❤️
This is life. Getting up to the Forrest is living.
Hey Kenny, that was beautiful camp site you camp on I see you and Toby enjoy it
I don't understand how folks go out camping just for one day me i don't start relaxing for two days then I can enjoy the peace and quiet and beautiful surrounding's God bless 🙏
I hear you. It can be hard to unwind quickly. My trick is to completely forget about work. I try to head out Friday evenings when I get off. Then I don't think about work again until Sunday afternoon. The good news is all week while at work, I'm daydreaming about being back in the woods. I've kept this crazy schedule for over 3 years now.
