I remember buying the 12 inch version of "Rock and Roll Children" in 1985. This version of We Rock was on the B side along with Last in Line. I was blown away. Hands down the best band that Ronnie ever built around him. Saw Vivian with Last in Line recently and he's still brilliant. How he deals with playing Phil Collen's sidekick is beyond me. Having said that, it's probably a pretty well paying gig, so I dont blame him.

Ok.... cell phones are great, but I remember concerts like this back in the day: fist up in the air, head bobbing, screaming, singing along, etc. Today fans are seated with their phones in the air capturing video. Kind of takes away from the moment in my opinion..

Dio had the most amazing stage presence. The definition of genius. One complaint, the guitarist in this video is a bit shit, can't even hold a chord tight, or even keep pace. Dio, the original AC/DC, Tygers of Pan Tang, early Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath with Ozzy and with Dio, The Rods, Motörhead, Girlschool, The Angels, Budgie, Judas Priest and some punk bands like the sex pistols, Dead Kennedys, UK Subs and the Ramones all of these bands and more made my teenage years just totally brilliant, best time of my life no doubt about it. I loved the clothes I wore, the pills I took, the girls I rode, the gigs I went to, the fights I had, the cars and bikes we drove into the ground, the summers we spent down by the river smoking red seal hash, listening to tunes on an amp set up,in the back of an old Land Rover. Those were the days. Being forty sucks major ass. Yes I still listen to the old tunes, but nowadays they just seem to make me feel melancholy. Of course I've got into new bands. In the nineties there was a pile of bands I liked. I loved Mudhoney, Nirvana, The Manic Street Preachers, Metallica, Slayer, Stormtroopers of Death, Suicidal Tendencies. Out of all of those bands the one I still go out of my way to see live is The Manic Street Preachers. I was a fan right from the start. I thought they were the best thing to happen to rock n roll for a long time. When Richey went missing was around the time a very good friend of mine committed suicide. I was amazed at how they came back. If you listen to The Holy Bible, you begin to realise it is one painful suicide note from beginning to end. The Manics could not have continued as normal after that album was released. I didn't think Richey would take his own life. I thought he would maybe leave the band or that the band might even split up. I hope he didn't kill himself and managed to get away somewhere and live quietly. In my heart I know that didn't happen. He was such a profound thinker and poetic lyricist that he would have made himself known after sometime surely.
krazo70 Vivian Campbell is immensely overrated. He is good rhythm player, but his solos suck. Craig Goldy was way better. Plus Vivian is an total douche that badmouthed Dio every chance he got. Then when he died Dio suddenly meant a lot to him. Fuck that asshole.

the guitars and bass are not dropped, but it's still heavy. metal nowadays tuned down the tuning to reach "HEAVY"
