This is an easy fix you can do with minimal tools and parts , and if you are getting the boost pressure sensor error it's either out of adjustment or you need to replace the entire actuator motor(that was my fix, and adjusting the rod to 4.0V) might need some probes/hooks to get the c-clip off and back on as that is the most difficult part of the entire procedure. You will need a voltage reader also, you don't need a diagnostic computer to do this fix. Once you remove that section of hose that blocks the actuator it's easy. Some other videos don't correctly tell you how to adjust the rod, the wastegate needs to be in the most upright position like he says in this video to get closest to a 4.0V reading. I ordered the actuator replacement online and had it next day cost $80, spend some money on hook tools to get that c-clip off also bought a new hose clamp because the stock ones are a PITA to work with when re-attaching the portion of the exhaust you remove to get to the actuator motor. The dealership service department I went to initially charged me $175 just to diagnose that it was the actuator that failed took them 30 seconds, then they wanted to charge me $800 parts and labor to fix it, fuck them do it yourself if you have this issue, don't get ripped off! Dealerships have no shame and are only worth going to if you need a diagnostic report, anything that isn't warranty work they will rip you off so bad it's sickening!

big help with the PB blaster, i will definitely need to use that on my parts, and to help get that e- clip off. unfortunately, the top bolt on my hat shield snapped in half as i tried to loosen it, so now i'll have to try and deal with that. any tips on how to remove the other half of a snapped bolt still in the top heat shield hole? oops!

Your best option would be to try to use a broken fastener extractor, but if it’s really rusted in there, I would probably just drill a little hole on your already broken fastener. Just make sure you get it centered and use a sheet metal screw, that’s not too long just to hold the shield on you don’t wanna go through the manifold.
