Hi James i don't know how to thank you man you just open my eyes on the light bar installation. My old light bar is broken and i didn't want to change the hole thing because my signals and the auxiliary lights are ok so i will buy just the bar light and the fittings and voila. Thanks again pale!
HA! James, I was able to change the oil in my Road Star and this give me some ideas on what to look for in the lights that are going on and off. I suspect it's just a loose wire, but now I have an idea before I start tearing into it. Thanks for posting !
As an old school auto mec this is a little scary to me, but thanks to your video I'm gonna attempt to install a light bar myself! I've got a 2007 M50 Suzuki boulevard, so 1st, I've got to get the " right stuff "! Ok, thanx!
Very informative. Mine seems to be like having my brights on. I get flashes from oncoming traffic. How do you adjust the vertical plane of the beams? Thanks
Thanks for the video since there are not many on a road star. I was told that the cobra light bar would not work on a road star with a windshield. You proved them wrong. So it looks like no money.
How did you position your passing lights for riding? Mine are pointed down and to the right? Just was wanting some tips and on how to position them for straight ahead for riding!
James - do you think it would be possible to drill holes in the bar do run the wires? I'm thinking seal them with silicone once done. Not a fan of exposed wires.
The chromed plastic part your just pulled out at 0.26 Do you replace that after the install is complete .Or does it not fit on the Corbra light bar ?? Keep up the great work James .Very informative videos. Subbed.
Hi James I just bought a 1999 roadstar 1600 , first thing I went to check the drive nut and the person we got it from put lock tight on two of the bolts and now they are striped out any ideas how to get them out?
Hi James, I have the same kit installed by the dealer. It keep popping fuses on the passing lights. Turn signal works fine. what do you think is the problem? Dealer stated it is wire properly.
I had the same problem. Take the light out of the metal housing because the connector is touching the metal housing causing a short. Just put some black tape around the connectors and you'll be good.

I'm sure it could be done that way.

Didn't the light bar have a channel inside to route the wire through rather than having to wire tie to the back side?
No, this Cobra light bar didn't allow me to route the wires inside.

So if i tab the passing lights with the turn signal wire, what happens when you turn the signal? Is it ok if i tab it to the running light?
It doesn't affect the passing lights, the blue wire is only a hot wire it will not make the passing lights blink.
I have a vstar650 and I bought the straight turn signal bar you took off but ive been looking for the mounting kit for the straight bar. What is the part called?
Sorry I'm not sure. Are you looking for a mounting kit for the bar to attach to the bike or the lights to attach to the bar?
yeahhhh, not luck just yet but it looks like it's connected to your top and lower brackets
great job sir, plz can you tell me the part number for the light bar?or send me a link ?
