Andrew Tomas is him in penalty’s
Well done Lou City for the comeback, but also clear signs where we need to improve.
If Alex doesn’t raise his arm to protest the handball from LOU, that wouldn’t have happened. Just keep playing
If VAR existed for the USOC, the Louisville penalty would have been overturned because the ball first touched the attacker's arm. But the match ended up going the right way, so there you go.
Seattle's second goal was offside if var was implemented
@@2manameturfilms13 According to...arms in the air? There's no replay angle that shows what happened, so all you have is an arguing opponent, which happens even when the play is not offside.
Wdym thats a hand ball
@@morganlast4894 That's absolutely right, the attacker committed a hand ball. That's when play should have been stopped and Seattle given a free kick.
3:32 ANDREW THOMAS
The graphic is so confusing, weren't there two more PK's and Seattle only up by one?
The video went from Seattle's 2nd penalty to their 8th and final penalty.
Wasnt Rochester the last non mls team to win a us open cup, 25 years ago?
AT is showing up and taking advantage of his opportunities.
Go sounders
2:57 what is bro talking abt
fr
Does it matter that the dude stepped way over the line on the throw-in at 1:37?
He didn’t, it was the fence that you saw thinking it was the line
Seems like the Sounders are struggling with just about every game this year. Seems déjà vu of the 2023 season. If the ships isn't righted by end of June, don't see the boys in green making it to the playoffs...again...
The goalkeeper saves the day for the sounders fc
love Sounders but man this year is so forgettable.
It just started
not a true fan then - we are so used to success. Every team transitions and has a dip in form. Great teams come back. 23 regular season games left
Lfg
lol
Does everyone see why MLS is scared of the US Open Cup? MLS is losing their grip of the narrative... Too many "close calls" with losses.
Stop being a clown if MLS puts their real starters. All MLS teams will walk away with wins unless they face other MLS teams.
As much as I want to take the Open Cup a little more seriously, we're not going to put our top players when we have a weekend game against your team.
6 out of 8 MLS teams advanced through at the end of this round.
Love the open cup but the sounders had one starter and 2 regular contributors on the full game day roster lol
Nah. ALL top-tier clubs play their reserves in early rounds of their domestic cup tournaments. There have been many "embarrassing" losses in early rounds by teams like Real Madrid and Man U.
@@michaelgarcia8430 that's funny... And MLS gets hammered when they go against ANY euro team... MLS is not as good as you assume.
Louisville got lucky on both their goals.
A penalty that went off the attacking players arm first and then a wacky/lucky pinball bounce near the 6 yard box that happened to fall to their guy.
We earned ours through the run of play.
Louisville City xg was 1.9 vs Seattle 1.49 xg. If anything, Seattle were the luckier side.
@@2manameturfilms13 0.41 xG difference rounds to 0, so...
@@2manameturfilms13 so?
What I said is still objectively true. Their goals were lucky/shouldn't have counted. Both of ours were well earned came about without any crazy bounces.
People are so focus on XG nowadays it's annoying. Ya'll think that you can just slap that decimal number in the comments and that trumps everything. Nah man context matters.
Run of play? A set piece goal is not run of play 🤦🏻♂️
@@bradp3766 and how did that dangerous set piece come to be? Through effective run of play leading to effective attacking positioning. Something that we've been complaining about the lack of all season correct?
Plus that's only one of the 2 goals we had.
Even if you're going to throw out that second goal because it's a set piece then what I said is STILL true because none of their goals were from pure attacking run of play. They had one that was a fluke bounce around scavenger goal and another on an incorrect penalty call.
Woof. Barely separated from a USL team. Schmetz should be going all-in on the USOC because it's the only title remaining this team still has a chance of winning this season.
easiest path for champions league
It’s because of the congestion with the schedule. Sounders are playing every 3-4 days, or twice a week for the entire month of May. Plus they have the game against Portland on Sunday.
He was playing the b team dog
@@olafcoffey1233 That's my point. The A-team isn't cutting it in MLS season, ala not making playoffs, and Messi is gonna win the shield. Schmetzer actually has a chance to win in a tournament considering every other MLS team will also play B-sides in these games.
@@letti4285 Literally every team sees these game totals and has a busy schedule at some point. It really sucks to be a professional athlete.
