This is classic "confirmation bias", just like the toss pokeballs trick. It's regular RNG but the people reporting that it works are the ones being upvoted and getting traction.
I've done it daily since reading the reddit post and have not seen a bird. Haven't seen a bird since October.
I have 2 Zapdos and a Moltres.
Tried this just now, started at 00:58 in the night. Galar Articuno appeared 7-8 minutes after I burned the incense. Golden berry, ultra ball, great throw....... Not even one shake it fled. 😅
2 days ago I somehow caught a 2460 CP weather boosted Galarian Moltres with a great ball! (Curveball too!) 🔥

Dont worry dude eventually you'll catch 1 I encountered birds for 67 times now only caught 1 moltres in the 43rd encounter lol 😂

I don't know for some reason the path I always walking around always spawn a bird its like 3 to 5 a week sometimes
I also made it a routes and named it Birds Nest but haven't approved ever since lol

Don’t give up hope! I caught a zapdos without a masterball because it gave me a second throw!
I tried this last week and the first spawn was a bird at XX:58. Tried it again yesterday and no birds spawned so it’s not a guarantee but it might be a chance increase.
hi JT ists the person you met at vegas this is how to get your game to look better, go to settings search up color filters go down and click color filters. change the colors to blue/yellow and turn the intensity all the way up

I came across my first G Moltres at 9:52am yesterday. I may try this again to be at the same time, same place- to test this hypothesis
I got a Rockfuff on my daily incense. The Midday/Midnight form so not sure if Dusk sore is spawning
I caught my first ever 3 star G Articuno last week at 2:30pm with a M ball. It was also my second ever legendary bird encounter and the last time was also a G Articuno about 6 months ago
I caught 4 birds so far. 1 zapdos in April 2023 and another in December without masterball. I also caught 2 moltres without masterball too
Cloudy would help with Zapdos since it’s part fighting type ☁️👊

I have used both of my master balls- I completed the trio this morning in the car by catching Articuno
It very much is Alex Nextons theory, at least for me and many others first person to mention it, make a video about it, try out this theory etc.
I got a total of 8 galarian bird, one caught with the masterball, but I've been having bad luck with encounters over the last 2 months. I'm try this for sure. Got a hundo Riulo from an egg finally.

People are saying you have to do the trick in a route you have already seen a bird, maybe that will help next time😢
All my bird encounters have been very very very close. Ran into Articuno & had no idea what it was. Found out later that night after looking it up. Ran into Zapdos the next morning. It was less than 50m from where the Articuno had spawned. Then a week later, ran into those exact two birds walking that same path. On the same incense. It was not a designated game route. Went like a month before running into Zapdos again and had masterball to use that time. Just ran into Articuno again this weekend in that same area. Is it possible to have a Galarian Bird nest? LOL
I have a Galarian Articuno that I caught in a ultra ball, and a Galarian Moltres that I used my first masterball on
I ran into all 3 birds on 1 daily incense it was nuts, sadly I didn’t catch a single one and one of them got c-blocked by an egg hatching and it disappeared lol tough
Tried this today - I was on a route, not sure if that matters, but it did not work for me. started at 1357 on 1/22
I got super lucky this week and was able to catch a Galarian Articuno. It being 145 CP helped a lot with the odds.
Definitely helps I got a few low cp
145 cp on a g articuno is actually insane
My friend encountered 2 Moltres back to back but he couldnt catch it. Was really interesting haha
I also catched a Zapdos with a bad throw xD now i wanna have a Moltres with a normal Pokeball
I popped the daily incense the other night. Galarian Zapdos, threw a golden razz and an ultra ball and I caught it!! Couldn’t believe it!
I´ve hit the tiny excellent on a galarian zapdos and didn´t catch it. I feel like the crit catch doesn´t work on any legendarys/mythicals

a couple days ago i randomly found a 3157 cp zapdos from an incense. didn’t catch it but still the coolest thing i have encountered
My friend has used the daily incense every day and has seen 111 birds and caught 6 of them
One of each bird spawned on my incense yesterday. Of course, I didn't catch any of them.

I was 2 months into Pokémon go when I saw my first galarian bird. It fled 😢 but 1 week later I found a moltres and caught it with a great ball, excellent throw. (I don’t have any master balls, and was out of ultra balls)
I've been playing for over 7 and a half years and have not once seen a legendary bird. A friend of mine who lives next door however has seen 6 and caught 2 or 3 of them. I'm not mad though. The IVs are usually terrible so they don't get used in PvP.

I started playing in I think July or August and I’ve encountered I think 5 birds and I used a master ball on a Articuno and another time I caught a moltres with a ultra ball I need the Zapdos to complete the trio
The struggle is real...
U did a mistake, u must use ur daily incense 3 mins before the hour and u must be on a route (not routes) that u actually seen a bird. Hope it helps😁

I finally caught a zapdos after 20+ encounters with the birds, I'm gonna try this trick as well but knowing my luck nothing will happen.
I got 4. 2 Moltres,1 Articuno and 1 Zapdos only used masterball on my second moltres

Bro, moltres spawned for my mum and caught it without the pokeball even shaking I’m actually mad-
I used my master ball on a G Zapdos and mirror traded it with a friend (they managed to get a good iv on the trade). I thought I wouldn’t be able to get another until I caught a Lvl 1 G Zapdos on an Ultra Ball a few weeks later 😂

The crit cqtch trick does not work for the birds i manged to get the smallest circle possible and hit the excellent with ultra ball and golden razz berry and it still fled
I have caught a galarian zap dos the day when niantic increased the speed for catching the Pokémon also some how caught a galarian articuno last year then two days after that caught a second one 😮 good luck to you Jt gilly I know you can get one soon ❤
Tried it twice on two account, didn't work on either.
I've managed to get 3. 2 moltres and a zapdos. 2 off my master balls and 1 critical catch. Have only seen 1 articuno so far. Highest is only a 2 star.

What's funny is I unironically popped my daily this morning 3 min before 8 and I got a moltres
I have tried the trick for four days now. I got to see a bird on day two. So one of four for me so far.
So far I have only encountered e zapatos and 3 molares and still no articuno ofc he is my favorite
There’s a bit more to it than to simply wait till the 3mins…success is in the details and even Alex Nexton states that there is still more to research and figure out on this theory. Speaking of that…perhaps giving credit where credit is due is a good start.
Ive got one Zapdos (masterball) and one Articuno (caught at universal studios so sentimental to me!) out of a total of 34. Im missing Moltres 😩
I feel your pain, I’ve been getting birds like crazy but not moltres, however, I have no master balls when I see it
I’m 90% sure that this is not true. The problem with going off of people who say it happened to them is that you’re mainly going to here the people who randomly got lucky and not the people who didn’t get a bird.
The only guaranteed method of getting these Pokémon is buying them from someone on eBay
I've been going pretty hard on the birds since they came out and I have to say i've done pretty well. 4 Zap, 1 cuno and 2 moltres. I actually just recently was able to best buddy the moltres being the last one I needed to complete my best buddy lucky trio. I had issues finding someone with moltres in particular to lucky mirror for quite a while but got it done! For some reason I was only able to get zapdos for like 8 months, catching 3 in a row before being able to catch either of the other 2. I will say, out of all 3 birds, zapdos is by far the easiest to hit the excellent throw so that might be why I seem to be stacking them at this point. Though, out of the 7 birds i have caught, 2 of them were with a no bonus throw. No idea how but I found that pretty interesting. Hope you're able to score one soon! Wild you've had such awful luck with them so far.

I can say I caught a low CP Galarian Articuno with and without a master ball and the last 2 legendary shadow raids with both zapdos and moltres being shiny to cap off my kanto Dex at the end of the day it’s all RNG
Had 2 master balls so I used one on a articuno to complete the collection I have anything you can think of as a articuno except for the shadow shiny and then I reached lucky freinds with my mom and got the zapfos
I did it yesterday and got 3....Onix. I'm pretty sure those aren't Galarian, legendary, or birds.
I got a moltres doing this trick but it fled it was 2000+cp which makes me sad ngl

I have a galarian articuno that I caught on September 5th last year. I barely do my daily adventure incense if I don't have a master ball. I don't want to see it just so it runs away. When I finish the special research for my second one, I might start using it until I find one of the other 2.

Tried this a week or so ago when the news first hit. It hasn't generated a legendary bird once. The o ly time I've had o e show up since 2016 was while I was walking into work at 3:54pm. It was an Articuno and I definitely didn't catch it. You can consider this whole thing debunked
