I did not follow his work, or know of him or his family - But Corridor Crew has inspired me to analyze film stunts, animations, CGI and the people behind each of these work of arts deeply & passionately.
Even if CC doesn't make a video of his work, I'm appreciative that we, the CC community, we're able to come together to recognize a wonderful artist and express our condolences together.

Something to remember about The Thing From Another World fire stunt is there had never been anything like that in movies before. Can you imagine being in the theater in 1951 and seeing that?

Have you guys heard of a Polish movie called The Deluge from 1974? There is quite a famous sword fight in it, where they use real sabre fighting style and movement, at one point one of the actors actually thought he was about to die because the other swung with such force right at his face. Not to mention it's also a classic of Polish literature and cinema but that doesn't translate as well.
On a vfx note, you can also check out the later part of the trilogy, With Fire and Sword, from 1999, specifically the scene with the triple decapitation, which, fun fact, is actually a part of the story as the knight who did it made this ridiculous vow that he won't lay with a woman or get married until he manages to do just that, decapitate 3 people with 1 strike.

The old guard hurt from low budget. If they had flashbacks to their story when they describe the generations of life. It would have made it SO MUCH BETTER. Like the two lovers in crusades killing each other over n over woulda been great. I started writing a similar novel (never got far) of a guy who finds himself immortal after an ancient catostophic event. So im fascinated by this idea for a story but we wana see the past not just the present
