I never question what you do, Dusty. I know a lot of criticism and "why don't you do this" and "why don't you do that" comes from people who have a lot of time to spend behind computer screens and many don't even own a dog. Bless you for what you do and, Lord knows, the great majority rest of us can learn a thing or two from you. Blessings, Dusty! ❤🙏🏼
I know this cutting is definitely not easy, but I must say you did amazing job doing it and made it look easy, while doing it alone AND holding the camera and filming! Bravo! 👏🏻
😊ooooo ok pooooooooopkkkkoo pop ooooop loo o loo😅o P ookay 🥤 pop 💩 up 🔝 pop out 🥤 no 😅loilpoô pop polpoôooo pop or 🥤
Love those agitated gruffle sounds. Big Joe doesn’t understand personal space…but I love him so! Good work on a tough job! Prayers for that 350 heifer.
I love how Big Joe minds you. Here’s this beautiful BIG, majestic bull standing there looking right at you and you tell him to get back and he does! They sure love you! You’ve trained them well, not to mention your help with your cubes that you’ve trained them with. They love their “treats” 🙂❤️
Your Bison herd exudes happiness and contentment! they are all sleek and well fed and healthy, and playful..They have these humans around who bring them hay and treats and break the ice on thier watering holes in the winter And,for Joy! wildfires sweep across the prairie and they know that after the fire, they will find green grass.. Soon there there will be little red dogs .Life is good on the Ponderosa.
NICE work Dusty! I'm wondering if that little heifer caught a horn? Poor girl.
Dusty it's amazing how. You move them bison around you two with no other help
Thank you Dusty and Marissa for sharing the adventure it went pretty smooth.hope the little heifer is ok.
So here we are almost an hour later yet CZcams only let me watch under 60 seconds before it sent me to another 45mintue pls commercial episode
😂 Dusty you neary had my drink spewing out my nose with badoop badoomp
Hoss is getting brave
Hoss is pressing his luck .
Thank you Dusty & Marisa for the videos. Today some of the babies are feeling foxy. 🤗🦬
Hello Dusty & Marisa
Hoss is going to keep it up and find out why he’s third in line to the throne.
I hope the heifer is okay… or at least treatable. 🙏🏻
Things are greening up nicely. I hope you get the rain that you need this year.
Blessings ❤
~Linda
Will you please spend some time videoing Dunbar and update us on what his daily life is like? I miss him. Thank you!
I love Big Joe. He is so majestic and such a Beautiful Bison Bull!❤
I tried to help you cut as I watched, but I don’t think I was as effective! Lol
Wow love watching you working with the herd ❤thanks for sharing your country life with us alll …….
They’ve got spring in their step. So fun to watch them run and buck and act a fool.😅
Dusty, you're a pretty brave fellow to be out there alone separating mama's from babies. Glad everything went well.
Good day to all. Question for Tank "who's your Momma"?, big boy
A one way flapper on the weaning gate might work well. Let them come and go at will for a few days then set the flapper so they can’t get back out.
I always feel like I’m right there with you.
That's what I like to hear!
Thanks for this post Dusty. It was a much needed distraction to all that is going on in the world . This chaotic election and the middle east turmoil is setting my hair on fire, and I needed a calming break. At least you are doing real world things that you can successfully accomplish . Congratulations...👏👏👏 👍
Great job Dusty. You and Marissa are amazing.
Thank you, Dusty & Marissa you two are awesome and know how to work these Bison 🦬 separating them with so much talent and knowledge like you do it everyday. I hope the young heifer is going to be okay. Can't wait for the next video to find out what's going on with her. Stay safe and keep on ranchin & God bless you all too.
That took some doing well done…I hope that calf is ok…ther beautiful calf’s..❤
In the springtime a young buff turns to thoughts of romping.
Well done Dusty, that wasn’t easy cutting the calves by yourself, I hope it’s nothing serious with the little heifer, Hoss and Big Joe make me smile, but I know that you have to respect these huge bison, tfs Julie 🇬🇧
You sure do have to use your creative skills when working bison. Not at all like working regular cattle. Natnleast they love those treats. Be careful, Dusty.
Great job Dusty! They really kept you hopping. 😁
It is amazing to see these big animals play, tossing up hay and leaping over the roll!
Prayers for that heifer. Good job rounding up the calfs even though you had to go to the last resort.
Your herd knows you and that's good to see. Much easier to work with them.
Alot of work well done 👍😉🤪.
Hope little one will be OK❤❤
Praying the lil calf is ok!!! You have some amazing Buffalo 🐃
Bison feeling their oats today. Spring is in the air!
I love how some of the bison like watching you working.
Hiya! Great camera views of the gate panel moving! 👏 😊
Nice how you didn't put "undue stress" on them yes it's hard to seporate but it's got to be done
Thank you for sharing. Letting us see what you have to do.
Wow there really are a lot of Bison now! Thanks Dusty God Bless!
Sometimes things definitely don’t go as planned, but as long as you keep trying and getting to the end results that you want. I hope everything is okay for the little female red dog that you wanted to check. Thanks for sharing.
Yrs ago, one spring, I'm helping Ear tag the new Hereford Calves at my friends small breeding ranch. We have the mom's and calves separated in about a 4 acre pasture, along with a yearling Holstein steer, being raised for market, in the 'finishing' stages...One of his horns, hooked in front of his eye, instead of normal, so we named him "Hook" and as a 7 month old, we watched him hurdle an electric fence(we think he had been watching the White Tails.
Well, my buddy and I, were down to last calf, runt of Spring, when finally caught, in middle of pasture...
It let out a bloody scream...that got Hook, the Herd Protector...to respond, here me and buddy are, in middle of pasture...being charged by this 900lb steer...HOLY C R A P !!!!!! I jump up, screaming, waving my arms...Hook stopped about 10 yrds away, head down, snortin' and pawin' the ground...we finsished the ear tag, released the calf and very slowly, backed out the pasture....I really thought, at the very least, when Hook was charging...I was going to the hospital...if not killed...scared us, to point, we were both shaking
Amazing!!! The bison are huge and you are one human with a flag!! Awesome to watch someone who knows what to do.
I find it amazing that a flag waved in the face, along with an emphatic "SHOO!!!" can (usually) get the bison to git!
Hope the family and all are doing well
It is wonderful to see the interaction of the herd
I love that you trained them calls and cubes! We can tell you care about your herd. Well done!
I would keep that big calf. He is really nice looking and so is Hoss.
I sure hope that female heifer is OK. How old are they when they first cycle? You and Marissa work good together for the best outcome of your herd.
I'm definitely praying for the little heifers well-being. Who is Tanks mom and dad? BTW, were you concerned about big Joe and Dunbar being close? Where is Elenor?
Hey Dusty, that was some impressive fancy driving, setting up your catching corral 🦬🦬
Leaving out the trailer to get the bison accustomed to it was a wonderful idea!!!
Everyone feeling a little froggy! 😅 Happy spring time!
Hey Dusty you did an awesome job in corralling and sorting all those calves. Really enjoyed it. Take care and have a good one. 👍❤️
Holy BISON! I can't believe you did that by yourself! You are a frickin Superman.
Amen to that. It scares me.
Thank you for taking care of our heritage
Great to see another video! The young babies are so sweet!💜💜💜
Wonderful 👍 wish you luck with that
Impressive gate cutting, Dusty!
DUSTY awesome video. Great cutting job with the bisons. Hope your one bison will be okay really soon. Take care and have a great weekend. David B.,Utah. 🐕🐎🦌❤❤❤.
These bison are raised for meat. No different from cattle. When he says, whatever, he means slaughtered. They deal in bison meat.
Hard work... your herd is beautiful...
I love to watch Bison run
Sure hope 350 will be ok!🙏🦬💜
Great music and drone footage Dusty!🦬🎼💜
Pasture looks good, considering the winter you had.Another month and you'll probably notice more of a difference. 🙏🦬🎼🌸💜
Hi Dusty, Marissa and Brooke. Great video and very good camera work. Please be careful and safe. Watch your back. Great that you have the portable panels to help Great job Dusty. God bless and love yall ❤❤
Great job! What a lot of work you have to go through. Thank you for sharing, love watching!
Is there any reason you have to catch them all at once, instead of seeing a group in eating, blocking them off, herding them up to the weaning area and then opening the creeper gate back up to catch a few more. At least with cattle it's rare all the calves will group together at one time and they tend to sort themselves out often by size so that maybe why you get a group in there and then no more will come. That's more work I am sure than hoping for a magic moment where they all go through the creeper gate at the same time, if that even ever happens, but seems like less work than moving the whole herd and employing gate cutting.
They are feeling spring......Hoss is getting his hormones going.....
Where is the queen Of the Ponderosa? It would be nice to see Queen Eleanor doing stuff too.
Great job gate cutting Dusty🎉
Wow, that takes a lot of patience. ❤👍
Love your footage, including the drone overview. You are so good at cutting the babies off, amazing work, sir! Thank you for sharing your life and ranch with us!
Dusty&Marissa, yall are a great team. I love watching your videos. Please stay safe and most of all have fun. God bless you.
Great job!!❤😊
Gotta' love these bison.
Love wat you're doin sir just be careful out there
Great job, Dusty!😍
Glad everything worked well.
Awesome job cutting
Good job Dusty that's the way I do my cows and calves.
You are really good with your animals Dusty. You easily cut the babes from their momma and no one can sneeze at that ! They are a beautiful herd. Big Joe is allowing Hoss to remain without hurting him. And you have such a variety of different sixed calves its very fluid. They love the fresh grass. 🌿🌿🌿🌾🌻
Tank is a goodlooking boy! Hope Little Girls is going to be all OK!
Your gate cutting skills are pretty impressive. Practice makes perfect, Love you guys, prayers and GOD Bless!!
The 🦬🦬🦬 are really feeling spunky! I hope that calf can be brought back to full health quickly.
Good luck with calf catching!!! That looks a difficult assignment!!!
Honest work! Hello, Baker crew! Think I'll keep my inside job for now, just took old & stiff to chase animals. Hope heifer 350 is ok.
Okay .,... So now over three hours later and a reboot I can watch this video again. CZcams has made it impossible for folk to now support a channel by watching it's videos unless you watch them for over an hour, then it deflates to not watched. I saw it happen and it's bullshit
You need a one way gate so once the calves enter in, they can't go out. I don't know if there is something out there like that or not.
Lots of work.❤❤
Awesome Bisons 🇺🇸
They’re all fiesty today
Dusty you an Yours work hard,
They were playful😊.
Tank really looks good! Love his coloring.
I love the bison love the red dogs, you all do a great Job Dusty I love to see you work the bison xx
Hi Dusty and Marissa, i like your bison a lot. Good job with them 🦬🦬🦬🐕🐕🦬
Dusty, as you're cutting the calves from their mommas, I catch myself kicking out a leg or leaning to the side as if my body movements help you move. Now that's how you know I'm just as invested as you are to cut them babies from moms lol
Thanks for sharing your adventures. Bison are tuff to work. Hope you catch her soon. Blessings to CTB 🙏🫶🙏🫶
Thank you
This may sound dumb for Bison. But on small game and in water it works well. Put a few vertical pipes in your gate on hinges. Spacing is important. The calves will go through. The pipe will drop back down, and they cannot go back out. You may need to experiment a bit. Maybe to late this year but you can experiment a bit for later years. small animal traps are sometimes built the same way as are certain small fish traps. One way in.....no way out. Then set up your system to transport them.
How fun to watch!!! Good job.
Amazing! I sit here imagining that you are set away from commercial properties~ like in a rural separated Yellowstone National Park area. Then today👍😊 I saw a busy highway on the other side of the fence.😲🎵🎶
Hoss getting a little big for his britches. Big Joe is gonna get tired of it pretty soon and put him in his place. I love when they are all sassy though. Just having some fun and enjoying the weather. I hope the little heifer calf is going to be okay.
Thanks for a great video
Very good job You got the ones you needed .😊
Just a question... when you had most of the calves separated, why didn't you go ahead and catch and transport them, then try for the rest a little later?
Loved watching that. Thanks Dusty!
