I am happy with the upgrade for the most part. The new menu has a learning curve but I really like the extra instruments and default EQ is much better.

Very nice indeed. Every kit has alot of personality and is distinct from one another. My favorite so far: tamburo opera kit and the dw low maple kit. As always ralf puts on a masterclass of showmanship and remarkable musicality displaying dynamics and technical abilities! Bravo!

The Td-50x definitely sounds better than the original, but there is still a strange "plastic" quality to all of the sounds that just hurts the realism. There are a lot of things to like about the TD-50 (and x), but IMHO, it still doesn't stand up to the Pearl Mimic for realistic acoustic drum sounds. Ralf makes it sound about as good as it can, and his playing is awesome and well-admired (wish I had 1/3 the chops). But this is as good as it gets, folks. If you don't love it here, you likely won't in your playing situation either.
DW kits have the best toms I’ve ever heard on a Roland kit…

Hi Dominik, die Live Sound Edition ist leider nur exklusiv mit dem Modul von drum-tec erhältlich. Die nächste TD-50X Sound Edition ist aber schon fertig & die neue Demo kommt voraussichtlich nächste Woche :) Viele Grüße!

I have purchased and used the Real Acoustin Edition. I would also like to purchase the live sound edition. When do you plan to offer it? Do I have to buy a module to get it? Offer sold separately?
The Live Sound Editions are always an exclusive/free goodie with the purchase of a module directly from drum-tec.
After a module has been officially discontinued, also the Live Sound Edition will be available for purchase separately (f.e. TD-30, TD-25 etc).

The sounds are still plastic, not even close to Superior drummer 3. Sounds unnatural
