I am just now getting me saw up and running. The hydraulic cylinder does not seem to be working correctly. It won't stop the movement of the saw with the valve in either position and the knob doesn't seem to do anything either. Is there a procedure for vent the cylinder and possible adding more fluid?

    same as the WEN 39707

What size replacement blades did you order for the 7 × 12 bandsaw to replace the blade the bandsaw came with? The owners manual says the blade is a 93-3/8 inch blade .

    @gordonfrank Před 3 lety +1

You can get by with the low tpi blade becuase the hydraulic cylinder controls the blade descent. The stock blade actually works very well.

A major reason to buy a bigger bandsaw is to stop pussy-footing around with high-TPI blades that take forever to get through a cut. Unless you're cutting tiny stock (in which case, why buy a bigger saw?) somewhere between 4 and 10 TPI is going to be best.

any leaking from the gear box. My little red 4x6 leaked oil. I even tried a liquid gasket but it still leaks. Main problem was I spent hours, if not days, trying to get it to cut square. In the end, there was something that prevented any further adjustment to get it to cut totally straight. It is okay for small pieces, but becomes noticeable on longer cuts. Did this unit cut straight/square?

No leaks and cuts are straight and square. The little red bandsaw biggest drawback is the blades. The 3/4 blades don't have the twisting issues like the smaller blades.

I've had the older green model for about 5 years, it's been a great little saw, the coolant system dose suck though beacuse it gets everywhere lol.

@@cgmiller8390 I bet yours will be much better beacuse you can direct the coolant right on the work and it dosent have to travel on the blade. I use the same coolant, I'd suggest adding a little 409 or lysol to it, helps it from smelling bad after while lol

It's like night and day. I can't wait for my gallon of coolant to show up. Ordered it from Zoro.com $32.19 plus $5 shipping. All local supplier was at least $50 or more and they had to have shipped in.

Does it have a gauge to tell you you're 45 degree cut ? Or do you have to break out a square ?

Just found your channel recommended by Daniel at Estwhile.
    Nice Bandsaw.
As mentioned to Daniel this was one of my first Bandsaws from many years ago.
The cut out switch is a big improvement over the older models, the earlier models were very basic.
But they did the job they made for.
Yours is even a lot better to look at also.
The blade you have on this saw might be a little coarse in pitch, but that depends on the material thickness also.
Will you stay with the Dual Pitch blade ?
Thanks for previewing your latest purchase.
    Regards Peter.

I didn't even try to cut with the factory blade. I replaced it with a 10/14 TPI Bi-metal and have a spare.. Also have a straight 14 TPI Bi-metal blade. 11 gauge is the thinnest I cut. Been adjusting the blade speed and drop rate to see what works the best. Made about 30 cuts today and loving it. Zero blade deflection unlike the smaller red saw and not as noisy. Haven't decided what I'm going to do with the old saw. Seeing as I have three 14 TPI Bi-metal blades sitting on the shelf for it.

@@cgmiller8390 You could sell the Red saw i am sure someone would love to own it.
As some people only need to cut a small amount of material, it would suit this sort of buyer.
And the spare blades might help to sweeten the deal for the next owner.
My current Bandsaw is similar to yours in design just larger in size.
The only only bad thing about my saw is it breaks to many blades, which is fairly annoying.
But i do cut a lot of material on it.
In future it might be good to do a video to talk more about the Likes and Dislikes.
Thanks for your reply and Sub.
      Very much appreciated.
      Regards Peter.

I can't find this model either. Everyone now has sku#63469, which is the grey version of the green one. I checked grizzly and jet and they are the same. Anyone have any insight into the availability of this model in the video?
