  • As we get closer to the announcement of newer cameras, we see more and more rumours popping up, people speculating on what the camera will be, or what the camera should be. In this week's video, we are talking about the shooting experience first and my top 3 features that I would like to see in every single Fujifilm camera from here on!

Glad you like them! I hope it was useful or at least informative! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to share a comment, Bran. I really appreciate it 🙏🏼✨

Make sense. If Fujifilm becomes the first manufacturer implements the 3 features on all cameras from this point onwards. Others will be forced to do so, these 3 features become standard. All users will be benefited.

Agreed! It may increase the price a bit, but the number of people that would benefit from these features is higher than the number of people who don't.
Nothing wrong with stacked sensors, higher resolution, etc, but the question is, how many people benefit from that vs how many people don't benefit from that. Thanks a lot for watching and for taking the time to share a comment as well, man. I appreciate it! 🙏🏼😁

Great video! I agree with all of these though I think if they put all of these the price would be premium :)

Perhaps, but it may be more beneficial than features like a stacked sensor or higher resolution. This eventually does cascade to cheaper cameras, but still.

Although I understand the argument of the ND filter, the design of the X mount does not allow enough space for it. You'd have to be looking at cameras made specificallywith that in mind (like cine cameras), cameras that use an SLR lens mount, to get a longer flange distance and utilize that space for internal filters (Blackmagic cameras using the EF mount for example) or cameras that have fixed lenses or full package lenses (X100 series, Hassleblad X1D etc).
The X mount is not only very small in diameter, but the flange distance is also amonsgt the smallest there is, even in the mirrorless world. So as much as I would like to see it happeningm that's probably not going to happen. For my part, I try to use lenses that use the same diameter when it comes to the filter thread (typically, the 23mm f2 and the 35mm f2 both share the same 43mm thread diameter) and i carry one set of filter for that filter size only. I have a little pack of filters, with ND 8, ND 64 and ND 1000, they weigh close to nothing and I carry them in ;y jacket pocket when I'm going out.
About dual storage : I could not agree more. I was shooting an event with my X-T1 and the SD card I was shooting on went kaputt on me after about 10 shots. I was lucky that it did not fail at the end, but that was like a waking call to get an X-T2. Not even looking at the specs, the double SD sold me. I mean surely, including a 16GB memory chip in a camera woudn't increase the cost by that much would it?
Same idea on weather sealing : even if the camera isn't rugged like pro camera, all camera should have a basic level of weather sealing that protectes it from rain and humidity (at the very least).

Yes, that's the beauty of the x100 cameras, the leaf shutter allows them to keep it compact and add the ND filter as well. However, I still think it should be there, perhaps in decades from now when the tech itself gets smaller and more optimized. What filter do you use the most or is useful in most circumstances? nd1000?
And yea, storage and weather sealing, are definitely a plus, a way to distinguish themselves from a sea of "stacked sensors" and higher resolution cameras. Thanks for watching and for commenting man, I appreciate it 😁🙌🏼

@@Jorge-Perez I use mostly the ND64, ND 1000 is for the rare occation that I want a really long sutter speed for capturing a water flow for example, but still want the depth of field that I get at f/4 or f/2

Good to know, I might do the same, I might have to permanently leave an ND filter attached to the lens for now. Testing new simulation recipes that require higher DR, and working on the review of the X-E1 and 1/4000th sec shutter speed is just not enough. Thanks for the tip! 🙌🏼✨

Agreed! Those are also pretty good features to have as well! The current Fuji app is just terrible and makes the whole process a pain! What are you shooting with? Curious to hear.
