    Well, 11 years later and the Kalinga Pro in Rosewood and brass is running $325 and up.
    Beautiful knife. When you find one in nice shape, pick it up as the only time they become available under $300, they go fast.
    I carry a 415 Kalinga as an EDC and the 419 on special occasions.

      Still looking for a 419, in rosewood. Anyone selling? I have the fixed kalinga from my grandfather, and would love the pair

      The popular auction site has one now for $275. Looks pretty nice.
      Another classic is the Buck Alpha Hunter 276, 277, 278, and 279. Numerous steels and scales and some with gut hooks.

  • @guusdejong6813
    @guusdejong6813 Před 10 lety +2

    I really like that 112. I have a 110 and I love it but I'm just too skinny for sheath carry, it looks awkward.

  • @efletch91
    @efletch91 Před 15 lety

    If you are trying to maintain brass, I highly recommend a product called NeverDull or something like that. I have it and have used it on one of my knives with brass caps and to maintain the brass cleats on my 1969 13' Boston Whaler. I'm not exaggerating when I say little tiny bit of rubbing will take of tons of tarnish. Try it once and you'll fall in love. I don't know what the solvent in it is, but it works amazing on all sorts of metals with tarnish or rust. it literally is like magic.

    @cutlerylover  Před 15 lety

    I understand your complaints, but this is just how I do thgins, I hit record and make a review as if Im talking with you in frotn of me, if I were to just say the specs and show the knife it woudl be just boring, you cna figure that out by doing research...although I appreciate constructive critisism, this is just how I do it, if you dont like it, there are other great knife reviewers here on youtube, dont struggle to watch one of mine...other guys have their own way of doign it...

  • @cutlerylover
    @cutlerylover  Před 15 lety

    D2 is better in some ways, but they both ahve their pros and cons, 1095 is better all around for harder work with harder materials, D2 is very hard and will hold an edge longer, but cna chip easier than 1095 because of that...fior an outdoor knife 1095 is more than enough and easier to sharpen...

  • @ChaseBerry
    @ChaseBerry Před 15 lety

    the best way to polish brass is to just rub steel wool in a circular motion and it shines it right up,try it!

    That is one beautiful knife...older looking, but very beautiful. Wish I could get one...I guess I could ask my parents, but I doubt it and I still want to make sure on those state laws because I've seen some confusing ones that make me almost think in WI you basically shouldn't even carry a knife on you. Maybe some day I'll check out that book see where I can find it.
