Hello HR. Liked the explanation for the CZcams monitors. A couple of tips for you and your followers. When testing different types of ammo accuracy can be off until the barrel settles in after changing. Especially when going from a lubed lead bullet to a plated one. Cleaning the barrel and a couple of fouling shots can help when switching ammo. A simple wind flag can be made by hanging a strip of surveyor tape by the target. After shooting your groups a good exercise is to take down the target by shooting out the staples.😂
I wait 10 shots after changing ammo types, for those reasons. Different lube, different projectile wash, etc.

Discovering the joy of target shooting with a .22 rifle was an accident for me. I was just looking to spend less money on ammo. Now, time smacking the target is greatly relaxing and when I can keep a group at 1 inch at 100yds, it is also very rewarding. Economy was the motivation and I have maintained that. Again almost by accident I saw on an email from Gun Buyer, Sellier&Bellot Club, a 40 grain, graphite coated lead bullet rated at 1070 fps. Also CCI Standard Velocity, both offer great consistency and can be purchased for $4 a box.
WRT the Eley Match misfires, it's more common with Eley than you might think. I belonged to an English Pistol Club in the 1980's and they sold RWS R50 at the clubhouse to be used on the range. Curious, I asked why they didn't use Eley and the answer was simply "Too many misfires". About 100 years ago, W.D.M. "Karamojo" Bell, the famous elephant hunter wrote that he refused to use Eley cartridges due to misfires. Eley still has them.

I always appreciate your informative videos. I have several iterations of CCI ammo and a few boxes of that bulk pack ammo. It appears that the monitors didn't care for the information you provided them. Hope you had a great weekend.

Nice rifle and shooting .22LR rimfire is always fun. Absolutely loved your sharp stick in the eye of youtube. Every Thursday our local gun club shoots a "cheap ammo" benchrest match at 50 yards; 50 shots for score on the IBS target. We define "cheap" as $10 or less per box of 50. After extensive testing almost everyone uses either SK Pistol Match Special or SK Rifle Match. Last Thursday I shot a 500-22X with SK PMS and placed second to a 500-26X also shot with SK PMS. Try some when you have a chance. I use a Bergara B14r with a Timney Calvin Elite trigger in an MDT Oryx chassis, an Eric Cortina V2 tuner and 36X Weaver target scope. The winner used a custom Suhl. Some not so cheap ammo that shoots great in my rifles is RWS Special Match at about $16 per box.

Eley Match is tough to beat for the money. It shoots a lot better than Team (for maybe a dollar more per box) and not any worse than Tenex once lot-tested (for several dollars less per box). I’ve seen lots of Match with SDs in the 2-3 range and single-digit EDs.
Plus, Match has a lightly colored bullet that makes self-spotting easier.
The Wolf MT, if it was made after 2018, is repacked Eley as well. Eley Club is Match Target, Eley Target is Match Extra. I swear by Club for match pistols-no alibis in 3,000 rounds, and every lot I’ve shot hits to the same point-of-aim.
Thanks for the information on the Wolf. The Match Target I have on hand is almost gone. I bought quite a bit maybe 10 or 12 years ago.
@@hrfunk the older Match Target was Lapua-made. If you prefer it to the Eley for reliability reasons, definitely check out Lapua Center-X or SK Rifle Match. I shoot SKRM for prone matches like 100-yard mini-Palma-it’s been good enough for the podium.

My own "happy little bullets" launcher is the Ruger American Long Range Target (with a conventional heavy wooden stock). According to its results at 100 meters, this rifle shoots esoecially well the Eley Force, the CCI Standard Velocity and, surprise, the CCI mini mags.
I whish you a lot of fun with your own rifle.
I didn't mention this in the video, but I was thinking about trading the RPR on a Long Range Target model. After this test, I think I'll hold onto the RPR for a little longer. Thanks for watching!

Nice shooting on that happy rifle with happy bullets, hrfunk! Did you zero the RPR & scope with that Wolf Match Extra? They just stacked right up on the bullseye with that ammo. I'd say they are EXTREMELY happy bullets!
The Eley Match malfunctions -- just hard to set off? Didn't get stuck in chamber, etc? Considering malfuncions, reloads, etc that 2d group with Eley Match was impressive, very one-holed. Steady marksmanship wins again!
I've been using Norma Tac-22 almost exclusively for the past couple of years. It's been reliable enough that I haven't tested many other types. Shoots well in both my 10/22 and my dedicated .22LR AR pattern rifle. Strange, I haven't tested any of the CCI types, so I should since they are the most common around the country it seems.
I made a sight correction after I fired the first group with the Wolf Match Target. I kept the same setting for the Match Extra. I thought they were pretty happy too!

Great video thank you sir! My savage mk ii dislikes the federal gmm match. That surpsied me as GMM centerfire is usually amazing, SK match has been my best go to match round. Pricewise CCI standard is solid.

My RPR's Timney trigger should arrive later this week. The rifle seems to like the Aguila Super Extra 40 grain copper plated round nose.

I have found that bulk pack Federal to be fairly accurate also in the 36 gr. hp in my 10/22.
I’ll give it a try in my 10/22 and see how it does.
My rpr seems to like the Norma tac22 black box the best! Cci standard velocity are also a good like in the rifle. I had a few boxes of the sk yellow and did not like it at all.. good video

HR… are you adjusting the math for moa at 50yards? Isn’t 1moa at 50 a 1/2” group? A 1” group at 100 is 1 moa. Right?
True minute of angle is 1/60 of a degree. It woks out to .262” at 25 yards, .524” at 50 yards, 1.048” at 100 yards, etc.
