Thor Arrives In Wakanda: czcams.com/video/ivT0cjLSkPk/video.html

Perfect comment to be pinned
To be clear, Stormbreaker was never given the same hex/curse/charm as the hammer was given. So the scene wasn't about him lifting it but about the sacrifice to form the handle.
Plus it’s a king weapon. What days groot isn’t a king
no@@damionm121
Actually enchantment is the better term. A hex or curse is something that would cause something bad to happen if anyone touched the hammer, like it would kill them or blow their arm off.
no@@WeFareFartherThanDreams
@@digitaladventurer2142 I agree with you but starting it out with "actually" when we are talking about things that aren't real to begin with, it comes off a bit douchey. :)
This is Thor's best moment in the whole MCU, driven by rage and determination and racing against time to get to Thanos.
I know a lot of people criticise the character in Endgame, but I liked how we went from him hitting his peak in Ragnarok and Infinity War and *still* coming up short against Thanos - three times essentially (if you include start of Endgame where killing him is just revenge, didn't correct anything). No wonder he would've gone into a spiral for years after that.
This and his entrance in Wakanda I think are his best moments
No it isn’t, because he eventually dies or passes out in this scene.
This is also Groot’s best moment, to take the pain of joining the halves, and being the first to hold the hammer aloft, just to sacrifice a part of himself to save the life of a beloved friend!
The hammer will never reject him if he ever has to wield it!
@@mermaid2017so, at least he got the axe
This scene represents how Infinity War was so thrilling because it was essentially a race against time.
only thing i don't like about movies doing the "race with time" bit is that, unless it's a parody, they always barely make it. just once, without comic effect, i'd like to see a bomb diffused with several minutes left.
@@ModeratelyAmusedtrue for most movies, but in IW they don't make it, after all their efforts. I really enjoyed it for that reason, even if we knew that they'd win next time.
in the first ten minutes, it got into the action when0-100mph, and then never hit the brakes until Thanos snaps his fingers. Then suddenly, the game ends and we feel devastating loss.
People also forget how great Peter Dinklage was in this scene i was amazed when i saw him in a Marvel Movie, and this time he is an Over Sized Space Dwarf not just a regular one
Morgan freeman: "Thor, being exposed to the concentrated rays of a sun, became the most radioactive thing known on earth, unknowingly killing every person he came in contact with."
Lol I was thinking, shouldn't rocket have been fried as soon as he touched Thor?
The star melted the strongest metal in the universe but not Thor's clothes? Damn where does he do his shopping?
Walmart. They have a special superhero aisle.
He probably gets them custom made by Luke.
I imagine he and Senator Armstrong probably go to the same tailor.
Same place Bruce Banner buys his pants
Edna Mode
Groot doesn't just lift the Axe his Wood is the Axe Handle the Axe is half Groot this isn't just the best Thor Moment it is one of the best Groot Moments as well
Rocket is so caring. I love him.
“Thor you okay?”
I remember when i first saw this in the movie theatre.
It was amazing, i felt concernd about Thors critical condition.
And admiration for Groots bravery.
Crazy right ?
Its just a sentient plant right?
I wonder, if Groot..being a sentient plant would be considered Worthy.
well in that case a teenage sentient plant is 100 times more useful than a star "lord" (yes i still hate him)
I love that Groot sacrifices part of his body to make the handle, but doesn’t Groot break in like every movie?
its a tree it regrows lol
I mean in this movie it’s the moment he gets off his ass and does something so that’s the important Groot moment for the movie. It’s a mini character arc.
Withstanding a Neutron star's Maximum energy to melt the metal, and sacrificing oneself to be a Handle of a prestigious axe on the Universe is what Marvel's biggest best thing ever made in the whole movie 🔥⚡🔥
Groot stepped up, did what needed to be done.
The embarrassing amount of people crying about Groot being "worthy" after this scene was so amusing.
They really thought Stormbreaker had the same enchantment as Mjolnir did. For some reason.
You may doubt Groot's worthiness if you want, you doubter. I have no such doubt.
Groot is very innocent and has pure heart he would be worthy to lift the hammer
I was just asking that in the comments above..aside what he did in this movie..as a character would Groot be considered worthy? I think it's a legitimate question. I think theres alot of characters in marvel and other universes that would land on the Worthy list based on their make up.
Groot would be worthy. He sacrificed himself for his family
@@williamgardner7886 IT DOESN'T MATTER
one of my favorite parts of this movie, if all the scenes were this good I`d be happy
Yea, me too.
Getting the Hammer !!! One of the best Marvel scene ever ... Hemsworth, Camera, CGI, music ... niiiiiiiice
Groot is such a badass, at any age...
No matter how hot is the axe, Groot still managed to lift it!
The axe didn't have the same enchantment though. Odin himself put the enchantment on the Hammer. Anyone could have lifted the axe
Anyone strong enough
Meant when everyone's been worthy to wield it..Just like Cap did..and Thor himself, despite powerless..
Eitri "Tree, help me find the handle".
Groot "I am, the handle".
0:27
FEEL THE BURN!!!
😫🔥🔥🔥🌟🌟🏋️
Something tells me this is the test that Stormbreaker itself gave to Thor, to see if Thor is worthy to wield it. Because its similar when Thor retrieved Mjolnir, both require Thor proves himself worthy by his sacrifice to wield them.
So, that means Groot is also worthy.
Storm breaker doesn't have the enchantment
@@txgunguy2766 I'd say grabbing a piece of metal glowing with the heat of a star and cutting your own arm off to safe a friend makes you worthy.
Stormbreaker doesnt have the worthiness enchantment
@@schwarzerritter5724 Thanos plucks Stormbreaker out of the air during his fight with Thor. Is he worthy, too? Or is the more likely explanation that Odin didn't enchant Stormbreaker like he did Mjolnir, because HE WAS DEAD?
Stormbreaker is cool. But it takes away the "Are you Thor, the god of hammers?"
Which in turn takes away from "We're not GODS, Thor!"
@@BrianFlyingPenguin Wait, from what movie did that line come from?
@@yudhazacharias9377 The first one.
@@BrianFlyingPenguin wait, the first Thor movie? Did Thor say that? Haven't watched that movie in a while

GROOT IS WORTHY!
At least, of being freakin' awesome.
incorrect. Mjolnir was enchanted with the 'whoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy...' enchantment... not stormbringer
@@einar90808- you missed his sub-comment. Groot is worthy of being awesome.
Yeah, I see that too when I’m working at my job, I said all of my fathers from both my mother and father side give me strength
2:07 Groot's finest hour
When you made the video you meant to type Groot lifts Thor's axe.
Ok you got it right
Amazing scene
This scene could literally be straight from Greek (or Norse) mythology as well. If you think about it, Thor held the door open for a f-ing neutron star to heat up and melt down the most resistant and noble metal in the universe. He was literally writing history.
1:58
I didn't take in until now that the dwarf also calls Groot "Tree". I guess that prettymuch confirms the theory that his real name is actually Tree
Thats cool. Thors weapon is made from groots arm. Great sacrifice
While Stormbreaker is badass really defeated the purpose that Ragnarok established, as Thor didn't need any weapon to unlock and use his full powers.
Stormbreaker was more to kill Thanos than giving Thor his powers is the thing. And even with Stormbreaker he struggled killing him in Endgame.
Stormbreaker can summon the Bifrost, which was needed since there was no Asgard anymore.
Honestly, one of the reasons Thor was SO POWERFUL with stormbreaker was because he knew his true power even without the hammer
A person with a weapon is stronger a person, obviously. And stormbreaker is not just a weapon, it should be the strongest weapon in MCU until now, it has its own power. Thor used it to enchance his lightning stronger.
Imagine how he supports to cut over thanos skin just with his lightning
The only thing Ragnajoke established is how garbage Thor movies cam get.
This scene brings me a memory of Age of Mythology
*HE* *IS* *GROOT!!!* 🪵✊
Looooooooooved seeing Peter Dinklage in this film ❤
Love this scene.
No one knew how to construct a simple lever and pulley system.
What I'm wondering is why groots arm handle doesn't get cut in half when Thanos it's it with his sword. Did the hammerhead and the arm take on each others traits? It had to have, because groot being a plant alien, his arm would have caught on fire with that red hot metal.
The handle is part of the axe bound to it through an act of willing self sacrifice.
Mystically they are one object now, functioning as a conduit for Thor's power.
The handle is also fire treated with the residual heat from casting the axe (using the full force of a star) which makes wood stronger and harder to damage.
Godzilla tried reading the first sentence and effing died.
@@troll2637 sorry

This was done using the full force of a star focused through Thor's body in a move that nearly killed him.
Fire treating is done to strengthen wood and make it more resistant to damage.
I hope this was easier to read.
@@nicholaskehler9169 I'm pretty sure he was referring to the parent comment, not yours.
Thor is so cute in this scene!!! I love him XD
Крутая часть фільма
I always thought Groot should have made a bigger handle. Looked like it would break.
It's pretty thin, looked like it could have used more strands.
The nature of Asgardian magic is that it’s greatly amplified in power by using blood sacrifice. Groot sacrificing his arm to create the handle gave Stormbreaker an insanely massive power boost.
Tyrion Lannister has come a long way !!
Everyone is so shocked that Thor survived that while I am here being shocked at how his clothes survived that
He is groot.

I simply don't understand why turned Eitri into a giant instead of a Dwarf like in the comics. Otherwise, Peter Dinklage is an awesome actor.
What are you even saying?
@@korokoro-dx1uh I am saying that I don't get it the reason why Eitri is a giant, in the comics he's a Dwarf. I don't get it the reason. Why they didn't uses Peter Dinklage's normal statue to the role?

Bro you should really make a video out of g’iahs final fight with gravik!!!
It's a great fight, but takes away the grounded espionage element
Did anyone notice that there is a second mold on the other side that is the same as the New Hammer mold? Two were forged that day, not one, why? Who designed it to make two hammers instead of one? Or is the second one even a hammer?
idk why but I always get mad because ragnarok showed us that Thor doesn't need a hammer to use his power, he is mighty without it, then endgame comes around and he's like I need a new hammer 💀
Okay but let's be real, a big ass axe is obviously gonna be more lethal than a hammer. When he's using his thunder powers they seem to be very blunt forcey, and general attacks.
With storm breaker he is not only more deadly but more vicious. Hell the minute they make it to Thanos in endgame the first thing he does is slice off Thanos's arm no hesitation to make sure he can't use the gauntlet, then his head came next.
@@yeetmeister3055 I think you missed the point of my comment. Ragnarok proved to us that Thor does not need a weapon to conduit his power. He doesn't 'need' a weapon. Endgame threw that idea out the window and said Thor is weak again and needs something to use his power. Yes, the axe is cool but it disregards the whole point of the previous film.
@@erindrawsabit804 not necessarily? It's proven that Thor's power alone isn't enough to stop Thanos in the literal opening of Infinity war, where the entirety of Asgard stood little to no chance against Thanos.
That doesn't disregard Thor's self growth with his power and less reliance on the hammer, but rather plays up the strength of Thanos (which is definitely shown time and time again in Infinity war and even Endgame). I actually think YOU missed the point of my comment and the reason for storm breaker. Thor alone isn't enough to overpower thanos especially with the infinity stones, in fact in end game despite both steve rogers using mjolnir and thor using storm breaker, and even the entirety of our mcu super hero armies behind them they almost lost again against Thanos had iron man not performed the snap. Hell even captain marvel (arguably one of the bigger heavy hitters in the MCU) despite having an advantage against Thanos initially, got rekted by thanos in a 1v1 with the stones.
It's not that stormbreaker disregarded Thor's journey Thanos is LITERALLY just that guy. Thor didn't need stormbreaker to "get closer to his thunder roots" or magic bullshit, he literally just needed an axe to lethally harm and damage Thanos.
@@yeetmeister3055 I understand your comment. It's just my opinion that this is reverse character development where suddenly the character is weak again for tension reasons (as if the lessons Thor learned in Ragnarok are pointless now). However, let's just enjoy Marvel for what it is and have our own opinions on it and not argue anymore. I hope you have a nice day. 👍 ⚡🔨
These movies helped a lot into turning the World in what it is now, in February 2024. War, death and nihilism FTW!
2:12 Forming the Handle
Back when dwarves playing dwarves wasnt a nono
Groot chopped off his own arm... With his fingers?
Why exactly are the commands to open the gate to the star infront of the gate in the first place?
Only if I die
The axes give life and health.
“Yes?? That’s what killing you means?!” 😅

2:24 The audience went batshit crazy in the theater when my friend and I saw this.
Thor took the full force of the dying star
TREE, HELP ME FIND THE HANDLE!
best. Line. Ever.
The dwarf that designed the controls of the iris in the path of the star's beam needs to be fired.
I wish he kept this weapon over Mjolnir. First off, it's just a lot cooler but it has a cutting edge as well as a hammer. A much more versatile weapon in general plus it can call the gateways back home.
Groot is literally PART of the axe now. I think that means he is worthy, permanently.
For the last time, it doesn't have a worthiness enchantment on it
God bless family.
Chris had to do this for reals
Imagine rifle hidden in golf umbrella (decoy).
HE NEEDS THE AXE
Technically it was only the head of the axe.
I'm curious what the original handle looks like
Why did they make the manual opening right in the way of the star instead of off to the side?
unsure if Dinklage playing a giant dwarf is appropriation of some kind, where are the giant roles for the giants of society... also, does this contradict his statements regarding snow white and the seven dwarves and the associated view of little people... and they're both Disney as well...
They constructed this massive star forge only to use the heat from the star to produce a paltry open flame...
Too bad they couldn’t have borrowed Smaug to light the fires.
AVERAGES INFINITY WAY MOVIE TOHR FIGHT BACK AWESOME
Nice try with the clickbait title, fortunately, Stormbreaker doesn't have such requirements, just pure strength and a body that wont crumble to dust upon touch.
I.... AM..... GROOOOOOOT!!!!!
They should have forged it. Casting metals makes them too brittle to be used in a hammer.
Yeah, I thought he was going to magic beat it into shape afterwards but alas.
Make me the living logs logs wormwood
Damn, Thor has some seriously tough threads. His clothes survived being hit by a star, that killed Thor briefly.
