I rewatched this yesterday, which would have been Minnie Bruce Pratt's 77th bday. Leslie and Kate provided a good dose of comfort after the loss of Minnie Bruce. I will never forget the night she introduced me to Leslie. Thank you for this.
The sacred path she referenced was from Asia origins and these people were masculine and feminine in their dress and behavior. It was believed they gained respect from Gods because they were not defined by gender. They used both gender attributes in life.
Leslie identified as trans lesbian. Butch lesbian? I don't remember Leslie saying she was male. Female dressing masculine/ masculine grooming but identity as woman who prefers women. These days that would be queer most likely. A trans female( born male) who prefers women would be trans lesbian these days. Cross dressing isn't indickative to gender identity today. Cross dressing and gender expression is a choice that may or may not line up with gender identity.
