I’ve read Stone Butch Blues 4 times in the last year, for the first time in the beginning of my medical transition. I feel so connected to myself and my community and our history. Leslie you inspire me so much. I’ve been hearing the term “revolutionary optimism” from a lot of people lately. I’m trying to read and learn more about it. Keep loving, keep fighting y’all! ❤

seeing clips of leslie warms my heart but it upsets me deeply how much s/he had to struggle so much for basic healthcare and dignity back in the 90s and still we do not have universal healthcare. lots of things may have changed in the past decades but still not much has changed
