Imberbus is a classic bus service, across the Salisbury Plain, to the lost village of Imber on Saturday 19th August, 2023.🚍🤗
in 2009, a group of bus industry professionals, achieved a long standing ambition, to run a bus service from Warminster in Wiltshire, to the abandoned village of Imber on Salisbury Plain.
It proved to be so popular, that it has now become an annual event, with most journeys continuing across Salisbury Plain to parts of Wiltshire, rarely seen by public transport users. Each year, the profits from operating the service, are donated to 'The Friends of St.Giles's Church, Imber, to the 'Royal British Legion' and to other charities, nominated by those who help run the service.
On Saturday 19th August 2023, about 30 old and new buses from London and elsewhere, some with mobility access, to provide a frequent service from Warminster station, to Imber and then half-hourly to Gore Cross; thence to New Zealand Farm Camp, to Brazen Bottom and the Lavingtons, or to Tilshead and Chitterne.
The service is designed, so that buses meet at Gore Cross Bus Station, to allow passengers to interchange and thus it should be possible, to travel the entire network in four hours or so.

I hope so too Sarah. I went in 2019 and had a fabulous time. I did film a lot, but it's a lot of footage, that would take a miracle to finally get it out on the channel.😊

I would really like to get my video prepared from 2019 as I had filmed a lot of stuff. Some great shots with passing Routemasters and fork in the road meeting up shots from afar.

I went 4 years ago in 2019.
I filmed over 60gb of video and photos, so I have enough for a video, that one day I will finally put out.
Those old Bangor RM buses looked a bit dated and out of place in modern London, modern buses were far better Anton for comfort, maybe not for reliability.
I don’t think that was the point that he was making, those older buses were on their way Imber, not Tooting Broadway…😸😺😸
