Really appreciate your honesty, great job, thank you😊
Thanks OG. I just bought an auto kamado Haven’t cooked on it yet, but have been excited to do the burn in and my first cook watching your videos has really got me excited! Much love to you
That's what's up Mark! You're gonna love it! Just make sure to remember to open up the fan door and also pay attention to where it tells you to set your top damper after you set your temp. I always take mine a bit lower then it says. If it says d-2 I usually will go 1 1/2. Have fun fam and congrats!
@@ramtuff111 much appreciated
Chargriller should give you a bonus or something! Awesome comparison between the cookers. Those chucks looked good 👍
😂😂 Thanks Mario!! I enjoy doing it for y'all😁😁 I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. Cheers bud🍻🍻
Bro, another killer video!!!!
I luv some chuck Very underrated cut if done right, your making my decision hard.
Keep up the good work brother, I’ll be watching 💯
Appreciate you brutha! Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them.... these are all game changing grills
It’s the way it auto stokes from below I guess, good experiment. Thank
Thanks fam! Much appreciated 🙏🏾💯🍻
These are just getting better and better! Proud of you man!
Thank you Joseph! I gotta chill out for a bit! We're going broke! 😂😂😂 Cheers bro🍻🥃😁
@@ramtuff111 With the cost of meat etc.. I hear ya! It's crazy these days! Cheers!
Have a great one Joseph!
I really appreciate your channel. Looking to get a new grill and am leaning towards the auto and these videos have been helping a lot. Thank you sir!
That's awesome Steve! Thank you so much🙏🏾🙏🏾 We love to hear great feedback! Any questions, feel free to reach out. Cheers to you🍻
Just got me the auto-kamado. Can't wait to do some grilling on it. Great video btw, on the comparisons.
Thanks for checking it out!! I believe you'll be pleased with this Auto Kamado! It's absolutely awesome! Congrats on getting it also! Cheers bud🍻🥃🍻🥃 Any questions you may have, feel free to hit me up... I'll answer them to the best of my ability!! Enjoy
Great video once again sir. I enjoy watching them keep them coming!
Thank you Zack! We're glad you guys are watching and hanging out with us!! Stay tuned and cheers bud! 🍻🍻
The three way chuck looked amazing Unc. Great detail on each cook. Had me reeled in to see the ending and hear the thoughts on how each setup performed.💯👊🏼
Appreciate you Neph! It was a good challenge for sure
I have the auto kamado and 980 and greatly prefer the 980 for smoke flavor. I find the kamado to be severely lacking in smoke flavor and I have tried lump, briquettes, wood chunks soaked and not soaked, nothing gives the smoke flavor of the 980. Sticking with the 980 for smoke but like the ease of high heat cooking and fuel consumption of the kamado.
That auto seems to be a bad boy!! I'm becoming a fan!! Good video as always!👍🏿👊🏿💯💯
Much appreciated my brutha! The Auto Kamado is all that. Think with a few tweaks in the damper system... it'll be damn near perfect fam! Cheers🍻🍻
Everytime you cook makes me hungry. 😂.
🍻. Nice video.
😉😉 #goals Thanks for sticking around Jason! Cheers🍻🍻
I’m so damn hungry now
I can watch this alll day!!!!
#blacksmokebarbecue
Sweet comparison! Never smoked a chuck roast. It always found it’s way in the crock pot with carrots, onions, and potatoes. What’s next, reverse sear steaks?!
Thanks for watching bud! I'm not sure yet but I do appreciate some ideas. Steaks would be a great one! We'll see what we can find👊🏾💯🍻
Good morning chef, fantastic good on the cook. That what you call on the money. Hi Ms tiff. Kevin straight out of North Philly. 👌
Appreciate that Kevin! It was a nice one for sure. Everything turned out amazing! Cheers to you🍻🍻
Nicely done!
Thank you much!!🍻🍻
Great Video as always, love the comparison videos, keep it smokin Bruh 👍🏾
Thank you for watching Carlton! These are really some fun cooks to do. Stay tuned fam! Cheers🍻🍻
Just wanted to let you know watching your channel has inspired me to give CZcams a try with my own channel
Awesome! Glad to hear it! I'll subscribe to your channel in a few🍻🍻🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I pulled the trigger on the auto kamado this morning and then found your video. Glad to hear I made a good choice.
Awesome to hear Tony! Congratulations! I can't wait to see how you like it!! Cheers buddy🍻🍻
Thanks! I’ll circle back when I get a couple cooks in. Go Raiders!

The smoke ring on the 980 chuck was insane.
Agreed! It was a really deep color that didn't really come through that well on camera. Thanks Rich
Great comparison! The gravity looked great, but smoke rings don’t matter. Good performance by the newbie!
Correct Patrick! 💨💍's are beautiful but, don't have any effect on the flavor. They all performed amazing! Thanks for checking it out bud! Cheers to you and I'll see you on Twitter🍻🍻😉😉
Great comparison but threw a like your way off the beat alone. Sounds real Detroit-ish hahaha. You've helped solidify my decision to grab the auto kamado. Looks like a real contender!
🤣🤣 Appreciate you checking us out fam! That Auto Kamado is a contender for sure and also becoming my favorite
Dude u come along way
Wat happen to all ur pit bosses ?
I'll take half of each please lol looking really good
😂😂 You got it bro! Thank you much👊🏾💯
@@ramtuff111 always my brother
👊🏾💯💨
Wow very interesting results!! Good stuff. How is your wood setup in the akorn?
Without a doubt Casey! This was a great comparison for real! All did amazing in my book.
No wood chunks at all in this cook. I used #thegoodcharcoalcompany only in all 3 pits!
Cheers🍻🍻
You should get ur wife and son opinions too
Great video!! How big were those chuck roasts? Also do you ever smoke them on the main grate or always above on the secondary? Thank you!!
Thanks Zilla for stopping by! The chucks were around 3.5 lbs each. And yes, I usually do use the main grate but, this way is actually becoming my new favorite! I feel like being up higher gives it more of a low and slow. Cheers Zilla!
Where are you located brother? It's seems like always storming there. I have 3 pit boss pellet smokers ( 2 verticals & a table top that I love) and a charbroil gasser for reheats & easy stuff.. I recently retired my old bubba keg of 15 yrs who is the grand father of the Akon. You help me to add an additional auto Kamado cooker to my kitchen . Ultra's up brother.🍻
That's awesome Bill and cheers to u my friend! 🍻🍻 I'm located in PA just south of Philly
So I have used the grill twice now and both times when I open the lid and close it the temp shoots up from 225 to 260
and it won’t come down. Does yours do that?
Hey Casey! The 1st time I used it it did spike in temp as I said in the vid. It seems to be learning how to operate itself. It gets better, you'll see. Also, how are you lighting your grill?
@@ramtuff111 thanks! I used one tumbleweed in the middle with lump.
I also do that and I try to gauge how much charcoal I need to get through the cook without too much coal if possible
Are you cooking these to a certain temp or just feel? Also what temp are you wrapping at? Thanks!
I use temp as a guideline as to when I'm going to start probing for tenderness. Usually I'll set a probe for around 190ish to start to check. Sometimes you get lucky and the cut isn't that stubborn and you can get it off at around 200-203⁰ I had a few that went up to like 210⁰ before it was probe tender.
As far as wrap, it's the same for me also. I don't wrap at a certain temp...I wrap to color and bark. Sometimes I don't wrap because I don't get the bark I want. It varies with every cook bud. But that's what makes it fun too! Cheers Jason🍻🍻
@@ramtuff111 Thanks as always! Oh I also just watched your Hot Sausage Pizza Video. Didn't see that twist coming! Looked awesome!
Anytime Jason and thank YOU!! I definitely recommend giving that sausage pizza a try! It was soooooo good😁😁
