Well done scoring 6 of those pine cones...the decision to leave their finish as is must have been difficult! But they are really THAT good on their own. Very close to.the inspo photos. I actually found some unfinished wooden nutcracker ornaments on Amazon for an amazing price. I plan on doing a nutcracker garland similar o the bell stringed garland using nutcracker instead of bells in the patina gold finish.

I'm dying to reimagine some of my ornaments . I'm planning on hitting some of them with a coppery highlight bronzer I have after repainting. Why not?
Absolutely! If you sprinkle or lightly tap some on while they are tacky it should stick, then shake off the excess. I've seen it done with flour. So funny, I had the same thought about some highly pigmented loose eyeshadow myself.
What is the rub n buff color you used? They were so beautiful!

I didn't, but that would be "best practice" so I should have. I was in a hurry, haha.
