Firstly as a Sydneysider can I just say that yours is the first CZcams video of my city by a tourist that has taught me a few things about my own city. Your research into this place is genuinely impressive.
Secondly your video and editing skills and content are brilliant! Genuinely top class.
Lastly I’m so happy you all enjoyed your time here. I hope you have a chance to come back and enjoy the whole country in summer.

And where I live is where the theme parks, if the kids like to go on roller coaster. If you do come this way. Make sure to check out back spectacular. There’s so many to do in Australia and most taxi are meter and the Uber here is good. You tend to use your bank card rather than cash and tipping is not mandatory. We’re all had a giggle when you talking about the alcohol macaroons😂 parts of NSW the state your in, will be snowing soon or just started. I’m going there next week Sydney to visit my other young adult daughters. And for the vivid shows too ❤

Technically and physically, Australia is in the Eastern and Southern Hemispheres.
But culturally we have been a Western Hemisphere country, geopolitically, until about 35 years ago.
Now we are a blend of Eastern and Western. We have many residents and students from nearby South East Asia, and our education system has been the standard for East Asian international students for several decades. This is where many come to study in English, and they become accustomed to living in a Western society.
Also, many Aussies study Asian languages and/or vacation in nearby Asian countries, like Bali in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

It’s the Quay, pronounced as Key.
While it is now called ‘Circular Quay’, you will notice that it’s shape is semi-circular, not circular.
I am a retired Sydneysider, and I recall seeing a photo of a bus with a destination sign (desto) filled with small letters “SemiCircular Quay”.
It seems that the first part was dropped at some time and larger letters just displayed “Circular Quay”, then later “Circ. Quay in still larger letters, which made it much easier to read as the bus approached.
I suppose most people didn’t notice that the name didn’t match the shape.

Hi welcome to Sydney. I have been living here for the past 30 years, well since I was born here. Sydney has changed so much in the last few years. It now hosts the best culinary from all the top restaurants around the world, it gets rid of motorway in favour of pedestrian. On the flip side it still has homelessness on the street sadly due to cost of living, though the city maintain the cleanliness as best as they can.

Sydney Harbour used to be Sydney's airport before Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport was opened in 1920. It's one of the oldest international airports in the world and was an alternative airport for the space shuttle because of it's long main runway. In comparison, California's oldest airport is Long Beach which opened in 1923.

Some suggestions for travelers to Sydney (1) Use public transport, including the train from the airport, rather than a cab or Uber and pay fares with an Opal card which covers all modes of public transport, including ferries (2) spend time outside the central business district - so many beautiful beaches and forested areas are accessible around the harbour by ferry and walking (3) in my opinion, Manly Beach (20 mins by ferry from Circular Quay) is a better option than the more famous Bondi Beach (4) if you have time, take the 2 hour train ride to the Blue Mountains.

    • @petermcculloch4933

Slight correction, a "Mall" isn't an "Arcade". We call a mall a Shopping Centre. An Arcade means it's a long single strip of shops indoors and normally the arcade has an entrance just at either end of the strip, typically joining two streets at either end. You would have seen a few of them in the city centre in the old Victorian buildings.

G'day from a true blue Aussie I'm not sure if you're still in Sydney and looking for things to do, but if you haven't been to the Blue Mountains yet, I would be happy to run you out there as I live in Sydney as well and have taken tourists there before. Just reply here if you're still here and keen and we can get it organised for this week. Enjoying your content so far, cheers.

    Welcome to my home town.
No, we don't call malls arcades. Arcades are alleyways where you will find small stores or businesses.
Malls in Australia are called Shopping Centres.
Also, wharf is called QUAY. Where you were at is Circular Quay. 😛
By law all taxis must be metered and must be activated.
We have a couple of apartments in Castlereagh street.

Can’t get a coffee after 3pm? Seriously? What a load of rubbish.
You were in the CBD and most of the coffee shops and food halls in the city centre are there to feed and fuel all the workers that flow into the city for a day of work, and by around 5pm most of those workers flow out of the city to go back home.
You also need to remember that the majority of those places for food and coffee are independently owned (eg, not a chain), they go home at the end of the work day too.
    But...
There are still plenty of places in the CBD to get a coffee after 3pm, well after 3pm, including independents and chains such as Macca’s, etc.
Also, out of the CBD I can get a coffee very late into the night too, if I want. (I can also go to the nearby supermarket anywhere from 7am-10pm, no problem at all, and yes there are 24/7 places open, mostly petrol stations).
We don’t have the Merican mentality of everything being open 24/7, people have a life other than work, work, work.
    Cheers,

So, does CC need to always shoot logo 3's? why not just off the three-line?
This forces the defense to spread out because she's a threat from the time she steps over the half-court line. If the defense has to worry about Caitlin from 40 feet away from the hoop, it leaves Boston and Fagbenle with wide-open passing lanes to the basket; it's even better if she hits the first one or two.
    It also puts pressure on the defense if the shot clock runs down; they can kick it out to Caitlin or Kelsey Mitchell and the defense can't close out on them in time. She only needs to shoot 34% for her Estimated Shot Value to surpass the need for taking 2-point shots. It's all post-Paul Westhead/Mike D'Antoni theory;
Sides is still operating on a mid-90s paradigm... she better learn or be shown the door.

Yes, while Australia is technically and physically in the Eastern Hemisphere, out culture is implanted from the British Western Hemisphere and more recently the United States, also the Western Hemisphere.
It also created a culture that is quasi-Northern Hemisphere, with traditions of Snow scenes on Christmas cards, etc.
But the last 30 years has seen a reassessment of our position near South East Asia, and our trade relationship with Asia, including Japan, then Taiwan, China, India and other Asian countries like Pakistan.
