In this episode Will Raison reveals the rise and effectiveness of commercial baits on natural canals when targeting bream and other quality fish. Filmed in 2017 on the Basingstoke Canal at Claycart he covers why these baits are so effective, the swims they work on, the bait selection to take, the rigs, including a specialised big carp set-up, where and what to feed. Why you don’t need to feed a lot of bait, experimenting, making the most of busy spells and what to do in the quiet times. Localising the fish, presentation and reacting to bites, landing fish and more.

Creators note March 2024 : You may know that I shot and edited the Will Raison Fishing videos that were published by V2V Angling Productions but illness (I have a rare form of blood cancer) brought me to a point where a few years ago I could not continue making them. As the copyright owner of these productions I believe they are still packed with good info and advice even if they are somewhat dated now.
