Join ATC's Senior Regional Director (Northeast) Hawk Metheny at the Maine Junction! Serving as a trail intersection for the Appalachian Trail and the Long Trail, hikers can choose their journey and will someday be able to also walk to North Dakota on the North Country National Scenic Trail. It's thanks to volunteers and partners that the A.T. and the extensive trail system exist for all to enjoy.

@@atconservancy My late husband was a huge trail enthusiast--he hiked more than 2/3 of the AT (we have AT00081 as our license plate, haha), all of the PA trails (Baker, Rachel Carson, NCT) and hiked the entire Long Trail with his father years ago. As a Bennington, VT native, I have kept up with my hubby's interest in the trails, especially how the North Country Trail--I'm a member of the Assn.--and the trails in Vermont are intersecting. This video made me so homesick (even though it's 14 below zero today in Slippery Rock, PA and my hot water pipes are all frozen so it's kind of like Vermont here, LOL). Again, nice job.
