You'd still need traffic laws to prevent accidents and that means you'd probably have something akin to roads but in the sky... that means they would be just as inefficient. Fuel in take would also sky rocket... literally. What we need is self-driving flying cars. Self-driving cars are already necessary to greatly decrease the amount of car crashes (over 90% of crashes are due to human error) and having self-driving flying cars would be cool.
I mean, horses and trains were already efficient enough and airplanes definitely help too, but can we just not use cars. They're terrifying. Let's start using horses and horse-drawn carriages and trains. Yes I've been playing a lot of Red Dead Redemption 2 recently so I may be a bit biased.

Loved the drop of the stone vs the water balloons - it looked like most of the balloons that weren't broken on impact just 'floated' above the trampoline when the ball caused the trampoline to stretch down.

i think i am most surprised at how intact the car was. Sure, there was some damage, but the overall shape remained, and at least at first glance, the car looks save-able.

Late to the party on this. But how about an analysis of where all the energy went on the car drop? Some plastic deformation in a few springs and that one web-support bar, some (surprisingly little IMO) crushing of the car’s roof, but it seems to me there must have been a lot absorbed elsewhere too.

I really enjoyed this video although i was a bit disapointed with some of thw earlier drops because the center of the trampoline had more ressistance and wasnt able to propel as high due to the thickness and again resistance

They didn't actually drop a whole car. It was missing its engine, driveshaft and gas tank AKA the actually heavy bits. A couple of lads could carry that "car".
