After removal of his voice box, Prisma Health patient still has plenty to say

- Patient Jimmy Walker was not a smoker but was diagnosed with advanced laryngeal cancer, known as cancer of the voice box. Jimmy met with Prisma Health radiation oncologist Dr. John O’Connell and eventually underwent total laryngectomy surgery and the implanting of a voice prosthesis to speak.

God Bless all of us, I am on my 3rd month of recovery from a total laryngectomy and I am so happy to be able to speak with the prothesis and be able to do all my things normally. God bless you!

The healthcare system doesn’t want to make any progress or improvement towards people’s most basic needs. I believe the guy was trying to condemn the medical system for not trying to make any improvement towards the technology. Maybe that’s why he said that the poor guy sounds like this. Only the Big Pharma and the healthcare system and the lack of technology is to blame for all these shortcomings . I really feel bad for all of us for being stuck with all these corruptions!!

Boy what a wild world, larynx cancer really seems to turn your voice into a distorted mess. This word sure is feel of strange disease and disability. It's important to help and understand those how cannot fend for themselves.
